I know some of the basics...I'm no expert but I have heard how it works from someone who is. Basically, you are not downloading from a central server. In this case, you are getting five minutes of the mix from one user, ten minutes from another, so on and so forth. This way, there is no way to target the central server and prevent the d/l'ing of music. At least that is what I have been told about torrents.
