Bling Posted June 30 Author Report Share Posted June 30 ok saw it ahemi enjoyed it a lot. but first u have to put it in perspective.for a mindless summer blockbuster where one suspends disbelief i give it an Ain the real world i give it a B-Pros and consPROS1) Alien ships are menacing (they are not as crappy as the reviews online say they are)2) genuine suspensful moments3) NO bs with the president like independence day (and govt bs just straight up aliens all movie)CONS1 Dakota fanning -screams too damn much in it -annoying2)the car issue (wont give it away) while the army doesnt seem to have that same issue WTF3) spielberg rips off a scene from empire strikes back (wont give it away)4) ending comes too damn fast5) aliens are fucktards u spend a million yrs preparing yet ... The theatre by my house had only like 5 people in line for it. No one go's to this theatre that's why I like it. Will probably see it next week... The important thing is, it does what it was made to do: Entertain. War of the Worlds is a big ol’ popcorn flick with extra salt and butter. The explosive special effects and action sequences are stunners for sure and there will be a lot more fingernail marks on the arms of theater chairs in the weeks to come.a critic's stanceexactly what i said.....
