Guest jayblaq
JULY FEATURED ARTIST: PHACE Phace was formed in september 2003 when Magnus, Fredrik and Tiger (the original line-up) got together at a local pub downtown Jkpg, Sweden. The primary reason was the need for a platform where we could express musical ideas that didn't fit the bands we already were playing in. The first recordings took place in december 2003 at Morfars Kllare in Vaggeryd. At the time we were searching for our musical identity and none of those recordings were completed. In march 2004 Tiger quit the band as a permanent member (though he still is in "the clan"). As a result of that, the original plan to have our music based upon loops made of Tiger´s drums was demolished. From then the spine of our beats is made with drum machines. Ironically, this was the point when everything fell in place. Although we have no intention to be a part of a specific genre, Phace contains elements of trip hop and drum´n bass. We´re keen to be some kind of a collective and we´re constantly looking for collaborates. Our philosophy is that every single person who contribute with a piece of their work, art and heart also adds a new dimension to our music.
