EPO increases red blood cell count therebye allowing the user to breathe more oxygen, more endurance, and a huge advantage in marathon distance's. I read that he used it in his treatment for cancer prior to that is all speculation. Either way the guy is a true champion with an incredible will to live and be the best go Lance!
