Environmentalist Wackos & Space Shuttles

As many of you know, Space Shuttle Discovery lost critical tiles upon takeoff into space. These tiles protect the shuttle against the heat during re-entry. Columbia exploded in 2003 after the foam used to hold the tiles to the shuttle came loose and allowed several tiles to fly off, leaving the shuttle vulnerable. Why are tiles all of a sudden falling off the space shuttles???

What many of you don't know is that the Environmental Wackos of the world protested against the Freon that was used to keep the tiles bonded firmly to the shuttle. They forced NASA into coming up with a more environmental-friendly way of keeping the tiles on the shuttle.

The new environmental-friendly way was nowhere near as strong, but that doesn't matter. Next thing you know, you've got shuttles blowing up. And now, again, more tiles came flying off the shuttle on takeoff. Let's hope the astornauts of Discovery do not suffer the same fate as those of Columbia. When will common sense and science take precedence over environmentalism???

They need to get back to using the Freon to hold the tiles back. There's no reason why astronauts should die because the environmentalists think the Freon is bad for the air.
