Guest clubkid77 Posted August 12 Report Share Posted August 12 It depends what anti depressant your on. There are 2 classes mainly of anti-depressnts, MAOI and SSRI. MAOI's are Rarely prescribed and only for extreme last resort type things, also they are extremly dangerouse to mix with MDMA. SSRI's include Prozac, Paxil, Luvox, Zoloft, and Celexa. If your on an SSRI, MDMA will have a much decreased effect on you, if any at all. This is because the mechanism that MDMA uses to release seratonin is blocked by the SSRI antidepressant. Now i gather some SSRI's may have a greater or lesser afinity to bind to he Seratonin Reuptake transporter, than MDMA (not sure about this part, since there arent exactly tests done on every SSRI and MDMA). But i know a kid who was on Paxil and he used to roll. BUT i am on celexa (which is the MOST selective SSRI, and also sticks around in your body for up to 2 weeks) and MDMA prety much WONT WORK FOR ME. I dont get the nice rolling feeling, all i realy get it a buzz and a headache from 3 pills also i took my SSRI that day. It might be advisable to NOT take your SSRI for 24 hours if your gona consume MDMA, ill probably try that next. But again, Paxil leaves your body fast (you get withdrawl) celexa doesn't.
