Hurricane 2005 Relief

Victims of Hurricane Katrina are attempting to recover from the massive storm that is still making its way across the Mid-Atlantic States. American Red Cross volunteers have been deployed to the hardest hit areas of Katrina’s destruction, supplying hundreds of thousands victims left homeless with critical necessities. By making a financial gift to Hurricane 2005 Relief, the Red Cross can provide shelter, food, counseling and other assistance to those in need.

Dear Diogo,

Thank you for your generous gift to the American Red Cross 2005 Hurricane Relief Fund. This fund makes it possible for the Red Cross to help nationwide Hurricane disaster victims of 2005 with critical needs such as shelter, food, clothing, counseling and other assistance. It's because of the 2005 Hurricane Relief Fund that our response can be immediate regardless of its location or the community’s ability to financially support our efforts.

Your generous support means the most to the families who rely on Red Cross to help them through some of the most difficult times of their lives.

before i donate, does anyone know how many cents out of the dollar they keep for expenses etc..?

You can look that up online. Do a google search for the Red Cross's annual financial statement that all charitable oganizations must make public on a yearly basis...

I work for SunTrust Mortgage, Inc. Here's what my company has done. Any employee donations to the Red Cross will be matched dollar for dollar. Pretty nice thing for a big, evil bank to do....

I know we all feel terrible for what is happening in the Hurricane damaged areas. SunTrust will match any contributions to the Red Cross. The attachment below will explain how to do it. Let’s all be thankful for what we have and try to help our fellow Americans in there time of need.

Have a great weekend.
