This Wednesday, September 21, Qoöl LA is hosting a Katrina Relief Fundraiser at Soul Folks. 100% of the proceeds will be donated to UNICEF's Katrina Relief Fund. UNICEF's universal mandate is to ensure the fundamental survival, protection and well-being of children, regardless of race, religion, geography, gender or politics. UNICEF's immediate concern in the wake of Hurricane Katrina is the survival and protection of affected children, ensuring that adequate food, water, medicine, sanitation and shelter are available for all children and families. UNICEF is also focused on reuniting children with their parents, family members or guardians as soon as possible. Also on this special night, Qoöl resident JOSH ABRAMS will be celebrating his birthday by relaxing in a comfy chair, reading Flannery O'Connor, and sipping brandy. Well, in reality, Josh will most likely be running around Soul Folks screaming like a banshee while two-fisting Jack and Cokes...but we'd expect nothing less from Josh, right?
