Guest DonCornholeone Posted September 20 Report Share Posted September 20 OK NOC crew,I didn't want to bring this one up, but I've had a few weeks to think about it, and if I were in the management's shoes, I would certianly want to know about this and make sure that I correct it. I want to give you guys a shot for the Friday afterhours scene but I need some reconciliation from my prior experience. If I am coming back to Nocturnal again, I'm going to need some motivation. Here's why...During my last visit (two or three weeks ago on a Saturday), I went with a friend of mine and we got bottle service. Now, I am a crazy motherfucker, and I have seen and done some wild shit in my life, so I am usually down for whatever and I rarely speak up about something being un-kosher when it comes to partying antics. But here’s what happened last time I went to Noc…I'm sitting in my little couch, recovering from a bout of extreme dancefloor body jackin’, and I’m sippin' on my little glass of Goose, rocks. Now, I look to my right and see a kid (obviously not a veteran party-goer) who is sitting in the VIP section without having paid for a table. Now, I could give a shit less because I am not an elitist and I'm not a hater, but the problem is that the kid is swaying uncontrollably in his seat, and expelling some hideously foul smelling vomit all over himself and the surrounding area. Believe me when I say that this was some tremendously stinky shit, and it was coming perpetually in high volume. Now, this was funny at first, and we had a laugh at the guys expense (just as countless others have had a laugh at my expense under similar conditions.) The kid was all alone, he was totally unresponsive, and he obviously needed to leave the venue post haste. So, rather than sit there and continue laughing at the poor guy, I informed some of the staff (in a really nice way) that I really didn’t like to be a bother, but that the guy likely requires some assistance in exiting the club. To my astonishment, the bouncer to whom I was speaking just shrugged at me and said he couldn’t do anything about it. I was shocked I was like “you’ve got to be kidding me man, look at this poor guy, he stinks, he seriously fucking stinks dude, and you can’t have people around in the club like this, especially not in VIP, you guys need to escort him to a taxi and clean up this mess.†Still no response. And this was in the bottom floor room @2:30 when the club was totally dead, so it’s not as if there was too much going on, the bouncers were just standing there watching this guy swaying around, puking, and hunched over like fucking quasi motto. Anyway, I ultimately just left and rolled upstairs, and at 4-5 it was still pretty dead overall so I rolled out. I know that Saturdays are not Noc’s big night, so I’m not going to complain about the sparse attendance and non-so-terrific music, but this vomit episode is unprofessional and I think it warrants some kind of discussion with the staff so as to avoid this kind of mishap going forward. That part that sucks is the lingering smell of vomit - just clean the shit up, that's all I ask.In reality, you should have been the one to take the initiative and grab his belongings and take him to the front desk....With that being said than done, just the mere fact of having him leave, might have prompted a better response by seeing you take action...Sometimes you have to set the example as so others can follow....But if you didn't really care for him as much as the lingering stench of the vomit, than why post?.......But you did care or you would not have approached a bouncer much less than what others may have done...Good on you.......
