Guest slamminshaun
Was it appropriate for Big Media to report the Jet Blue emergency landing on live TV with passengers on board watching? I don't know how you all feel, but I don't think I'd want to turn CNN on and see "experts" talking about the odds of me surviving. It seems that when passengers turned on the TV to get their mind off of the situation, it just made the whole thing worse. "It would have been a really calm flight had we not been able to watch the news," 23-year-old passenger Pia Varme said of the live coverage. Some could not bear to watch the live images -- which repeatedly showed close-ups of the plane's twisted front nose wheels -- and turned to other channels.http://today.reuters.com/News/CrisesArticle.aspx?storyId=N22573615

Guest JMT
id rather have the choice of watching the tv on my flight than not. should the crew have pulled the plug on the tvs much earlier? perhaps, but if the passengers didnt like to watch they could have turned it off themselves. im guessing not many did.
