So today I am off observing the Jewish High Holy Day of Yom Kippur and I go to to ATM at the nearby Publix.

as i am leaving, this little old abuelita in her 70's is askin in spanish for someone to drive her to her pharmacy like 10 blocks away. her daughter was going to do it but she would have to wait another 3 hrs.

her blood suger was droppping and she needed to get there.

of course it prolly wasnt the smartest thing to do in pickin up a total stranger. (little cuban granny. how dangerous is that but still one has to be mindful)

so i took her. she had a little walker when she fell 4 months back and broke her femur and had to get surgery.

I dont know . one day my good heart will come back to haunt me and ill get shot LOL. but u know what? it made me feel really good to help this little old lady out. especially on Yom Kippur its a Mitzvah

:)

either way thought id share. i felt good about doing it . i mean when im that age i hope the younger generation is as generous .. :)

Mitzvah's or 'good deeds' should be practised everyday...and not for return but instead for inner peace.

It's a great feeling to know that you've made a difference in someone's life...

Happy Kippur! to all those who celebrate.

:)
