saigray
I was just reading some advertisement for a diet pill with HTP in it, and they were describing how it increases your "thermogenesis" which means heat creation. Now I know lots of ppl pre-load on 5htp before rolling, and wouldn't if they didn't like it, but it seems this would increase the danger of overheating from the e. Does anybody know anything about this? Has it been looked into? Really curious.. Thanks for the info
knightcrawler
without details on the pill in question i'm basing upon assumption, but the diet pill that you're referring to probably contains multiple ingredients, among which 5-HTP is probably not the main active ingredient. in studies 5-HTP has been shown to aid in appetite supression, which may be the reason for it's presence in such a diet pill. however, in terms of thermogenesis, 5-HTP has not been shown to play a major role. i'm guessing that somewhere on the list of ingredients, you will find ma huang extract (ephedrine), guarana (caffeine), possibly cayenne extract. these are the ingredients which would be responsible for thermogenisis. -------------------dusk til dawn- "You take the blue pill: The story ends, you wake up in your bed, and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill: You stay in wonderland, and I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes..."-Morpheus

Very well said Instead of cayenne though it might be capecin(sp?). Which is the active ingredient found in cayenne.------------------~*P*L*U*R*~ Four Simple Words To Live By....
