Should there be a CJ Miami Rock board?

Lets face it, rock is taking over, EDM is done like the Marlins last night (Yankes are undefeated), so maybe the CJ board needs to either be rock friendly or create a new rock board, but don't separate them like the edm with music and miami stuff..

What say you..

ps just giving nick and dan a hard time to let them know I still sign their checks..

Rock & Roll fans, like Hip Hop fans, mostly don't have computers. If you do a search online, you will find way more EDM forums than rock or hip hop forums, even though the latter 2 formats are way more popular than EDM.

well there isn't a CJ Miami Electonic board, so i say no.

i believe cooljunkie itself is supossed to be about electronic music ... and not only me when i joined this board but tons of other people see cooljunkie that way ...

i think a "rock" or "pop" board would be nice, that way the Miami board itself would be STILL strictly about electronic music ... (at least, i wanna think about it that way)

What are you talking about? I'm a Rock & Roll and a Hip Hop fan and I use a computer more than any of you guys!!

What I mean is it realistically is about going out and enjoying nightlife in general. I have no issues if people wanna talk about rock, hip-hop, or dance. It just so happens that most of you talk about dance music.

We talk about rock music whenever one of the wash up rockers from the 80's, like Vince Neil of Motley Crue for example, make a guest apperance at Solid Gold.... :P

Or whenever they release some sex video of them banging some porn chick!! :P :P

Actually oddly enough we really only talk about rock when some rocker we listened to when we were kids gets arrested/makes a sex tape/beats his wife/ODs...

CJ isn't about electronic music, it's about going out and getting tanked.

Rock is for the masses... normally the masses are composed of sheep (people that just follow directions)... EDM is music for your brain, that's why there a plenty of discussion boards full of discussions (although some are pretty stupid, but what can you do about it).

That being said, there will probalby always be more fans of rock music... but EDM fans are deeper into it...

Dude I think you are totally wrong there! I've been in the music business for about 15 years now. More recently in the recording industry and it takes a lot more effort to record a rock song with a basic instrument set and 1 vocal than it does to make one dance track...and I've done both!

Perhaps what you mean is that people who like EDM are on a different kind of wavelegnth than say rockers are. But rockers love thier music just as much, if not more than people who listen to dance music. Their love I believe is on a deeper less superficial level than people who like dance music.

So much more soul go's into producing a rock song than a dance tune. Not to say that dance music lacks any soul. To me dance music will always be my first love and passion. But working in the recording industry and witnessing how much effort go's into creating 1 rock song has really changed my view about rockers and even hip hop music..
