Hey I could deal with a Thinkpad (I have a Thinkpad 550mhz P3 at the crib) its windows on it that would irritate me. Heck even with global destruction happening around us... the windows thing would irritate me. But I would still save you a spot... of course I would spend every waking moment trying to convert you.

I won't need an economy. I'll grow herb, food and raise chickens and goats. My family has lots of land in Jamaica. Its getting use to manual labor that will be a bitch. Imagine washing clothes by hand... holy fuck... I haven't done that in 20 years. Of course I won't have as much clothes as I do now. I figure if I stock up on toothpaste I'll be alright for a few decades... that means lots of toothpaste of course... o' and a good stock of toothbrush. No point in having good totohpaste with bad toothbrushes.

Dude if your country is in crisis and people are low in good and people around your village find out that you have Internet Connection, Toothpaste,Bottled Water, Soda, Chickens,Pigs, Goats ect.

Then there will be a big backlash on you and your life will be in danger, you better have a couple of Guns with you and provide weapons to everyone that is with you because you will defintely be a marked man.

I would almost agree. There are battles being fought in several areas of the world (in Isreal/Lebanon, Iran, Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan.

) and it's only a matter of time before they merge into becoming one big conflict.

Sure muslim/Islam extrmemists hate us but there is also growing divide between Sunni and Shia Muslims also which will further fuel the conflict.

It's also only a matter of time before other Arab nations such as Eygpt get drawn into the conflict.

Don't forget our North Korean buddies who may take advantage of the turmoil in the Middle East and launch and attack on South Korea in attempts to re-unify the Korean Penninsula.

No man it doesn't work like that... I figure the villagers will be growing food, herb and raising chickens and goats too. Since our commune may not produce enough herbs.... then I will have to trade toothpaste with the villagers for more herb. But no way I'm giving out toothbrushes. The only thing that has me thinking is what will I do about air conditioning. With global warming happening I can't count on the cool wind in the countryside. I just bought the Everstar 12,000 BTU portable Ac for my computer room. If I could find away to install that in my hut then that would be the bomb. I may have to look into wind powered generators.

Hey I was already doing that before I bought the portable AC. Even with the house AC on the computer room would be in 90's.... damn G5. I'm sure some of my friends still think my house is still a steaming jungle. But this summer that shit was killing me... heck I know global warming is happening... trust me. And to all my friends and guest visitors my house is chill now.

i didn't watch the film yet so i can't comment on it but..... i really don't think this world is headed towards WWIII. i don't think there are enough militarily (is that even a word? ;D) strong countries that could be potential enemies that would provide an axis. there are many small countries and terrorist organizations that could cause a lot of problems but it wouldn't be a global horror as WWI & WWII were. now if china some how became an enemy of the US than we would have a major problem but w/ their booming economy they're well on their way to becoming a major superpower.

It's another age. It's another kind of enemy.

It's a different kind of War.

There is no one front or a specific territory, but it definitely concerns and invloves the entire world and not just a worldpower vs an axis...

all right i watched the movie... but i still think this is not turning into WWIII. for a world war you need to have major countries at war w/ eachother. this WILL get worse before it gets better and like trancepriest said it'll last for decades to come. it'll be horrible and this country and other MDC's will be attacked in devastating ways but this Jihad isn't going to make countries like; the US, Britain, Japan, China, Spain, Germany, Russia, France, Canada, and Australia (all major countires and military powerhouses) turn into enemies... which is what is needed for WWIII. really i don't know how radical muslims who are behind the jihad will ever change or if it's even possible to lessen the hate they have. i know the conflict will get bigger and many more ppl will die but a world war is another thing all together. i don't think that this jihad has the capabilities of pulling many major countries into a global conflict.

So at the moment we have a few rogue nations led by fruitcakes like North Korea, Syria, America (shoot, did I say that out loud?), Iran plus a few others you can throw in for good measure. Has this not always been the case? Of the 200+ countries on this large spinning mass of soil and water, one or two are always going to be led by people that we deem to be unwanted. Was the world any more stable 1000 years ago? 100 years ago? 50 years ago? 10 years ago even? Not really in my book.

All wars can be avoided. Nothing is inevitable except old age and taxation.
