Guest endymion
Welcome to the family, Jackie. ;DHow come PC users never welcome anyone into thier family...??They do, that illustrates the difference between Macs and PCs that I was trying to point out. When a company builds an intranet and tricks it out with a bunch of enterprise solutions, they create a family. With traditions for how to manage contacts and calendars, send email, share data, migrate to a new system, backups, all of that daily life stuff that you do with a computer. When you go to work at a company with a bunch of enterprise solutions you're welcomed to the family. When you use a PC at Microsoft, they have Their Way of making things go. At Motorola here in Florida, everything works differently. Go to Wall Street, each firm has it's own Way. But the PC itself is agnostic, so if you have a PC at home but no local enterprise intranet then there's no 'family' for you to plug in to, so you're on your own for those common tasks. The bundled free apps that come with the PC for contact management and the like are jokes and aren't well supported, because Outlook and Office are what Microsoft supports.Macs are a family. Apple commits to our 'enterprise' issues so that things just work for us, just like if we were at a company with an IT director. Apple is aggressively working to unify management of email, to-do, calendars, photos, music, and video files around simple, free products that come with the OS and work smoothly right out of the box. Nobody makes that commitment to a PC user unless they work at a company with an IT department.

Guest trancepriest
It came in today!!! I'm so excited to start playing with it....Came 3 days early!Congratulations... the thing that bugged me out when I got my first Mac was just dragging an application to the trash bin... I was like no way it could be that easy to delete an app... I also spent a week trying to figure out how to defrag my mac. ;D
Guest endymion
I was like no way it could be that easy to delete an app...Oh wow we didn't even mention that one to Adam Singer. DLLs!! It wouldn't matter, when you tell PC people that you install by dragging an app onto your hard drive, and uninstall by deleting it, and that's it... they usually just don't believe you anyway."What about DLLs?""Well that's the point, there are none.""What about the Registry?""Well that's the point there is none." Oni1414777741
Yeah i wasn't able to play with it cause i was too busy drinking miller lite at the sports bar watching the mets game. With my macbook under the table with me. *LOL* Yes im a dork.Diogo, yeah i got the black 13 in macbook. I thought the screen would be too small but its really not. The graphics are simply amazing, i threw Into the Blue in it and the DVD just works. By the way, i've been told that Into the Blue is softcore porn in the water. I can't wait to see it!! (Alba and Walker are HOT) I'm definitely keeping it in bed with me at all times. I might get a chance to play with it again tonight before going to brooklyn to heckle Stryke and Santos at their gig later on.
