I openly admit I feel bad that I never made it out to this party despite my intentions to. I just couldn't find the will or the way to make it out on a Sunday night after a weekend of usual shenanigans and school Monday morning.Don't hang your heads guys. Just see this as market feedback that, despite Miami's progress with adopting less mainstream dance music, it's just not there yet in enough force to support a Sunday night at a large venue in a peak-rent district. As much as I wish we were there by now, we just aren't. Guest MichaelMnML Posted February 6 Report Share Posted February 6 Don't matter what you do, all these Mickey Mouse wannabes just can't hang for shit.The average club goer in this town is in and out of the club in 2 hours or less,what a joke.The other day they were talking about a hot dog stand and couches for Pawn Shop..WTF..give me a fucking break,Man!!!.That's why DJ's don't give a damn about ya'll.HUGH is right...I know it was on a Sunday night, people have work and school like David says...so it is tough....I like to get drunk on sundays and hang around my neck of the woods working on music, saving the trouble to go to the beach three nights in a row...but even if every tech head came out of hiding for this party i still feel as though this party was going to have trouble...That place seems to have a lot of overhead, and usually techno does not provide for profits to cover such a big time venue on a sunday.i want to go and have 3 or 4 beers at most and talk about the music...say there is 30 tech heads who would do the same(i doubt it)....thats roughly $1000.....they got dancers, bartenders, doorstaff, security and guest dj fees....not even closethats why they needed a crowd there to party regardless whether the local djs come out and spend moneyI dont think many NON tech heads (but who still like the mainstream EDM) are out to dance in sunday nights....you saw the Made in Miami at Cameo last like a month or two...if murk can fail on sunday in miami, everyone is going to....if they are they are at nikkisI really wish this party was on a friday or saturday....i think this place could have made some real changes as well as making a few bucks...but, i know many are frustrated that techno people didnt come out enough...i feel as though if we all were there, its still hard to make the money needed to stay alive...i am sad that this is gone...because this was a great effort by nelson to give us what we wanted...i just wish that the normal non-dj party people came through a bit more for him...dont give up guys...a few more tries and Miami will come around Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
