The Eclectech # 3

Thursday Oct 23 9PM @KING KING

Good things happen when DJs spin outside of their comfort zones.

Andy Carthy — better known as Mr. Scruff — tends to spin rare

grooves, funk, and jazz.

His sets showcase an equally impressive collection of dub

and disco records, deeper sounds, perhaps, but always

danceable. From his highly inventive animation to his wildly

eclectic DJ sets to his downright funky production work, one

thing sticks out about Mr. Scruff, his ECLECTECHcism.

An accomplished DJ since '94, his five-hour DJ sets at the

likes of Fabric, 333 Old Street, and his own night, Keep It

Unreal, have established him as one of the world's finest

freeform spinners. Scruff's extensive production credits

include recording and remixing for over 30 labels, including

Warp, Sirkus, Disorient, Blood & Fire, Cup Of Tea, and

Ninja Tune. Colin Nagy(flavorpill NYC)
