back2basics-
Just thought i would post a quick review as this night was the best night out i have had in Chicago.Ok so Frankie was playing the house of blues on Thursday.Firstly it's the first time i have been to the House of Blues and the venue is great. Big dancefloor, big stage lost of bars<--very important.Well one of th highlights was a little lady some people may have herd of.. Jocelyn Brown She turned up on her Brithday to bang out a few songs (and i do mean bang). She sang the Todd Terry track 'Something Goin on' and the classic Ain't no mountain high enough allong with 'It's all good' and a number of other house classics. Frankie played a blinder, cutting up hugh vocal anthems allong with new disco cuts as only Frankie can. Late on he took it deep before blowing up, the still packed House of Blues, at the end of the night. Although there were no fancey mixing techniques, Frankie played a smooth set with a small amount of use of filtered effects. The night was a who's, who of dance music. David Morales and Todd Terry were just a few of the house gods that attended the night. What can i say, great music, great mixed crowed, room to dance, Jocelyn Brown, Frankie and champagne.... ooh and that girl in the latex dress
