HIVE

Celebrated on both sides of the Atlantic, its in the unassuming personality of futurist B-boy Hive that drum and bass finds its mightiest bridge between the UK and the US. Hive came of age as a drum and bass producer in the late 90s, but hes long been active in underground music, with roots that extend deep into underground hip hop, embodied in a string of iconoclastic releases and credits. His tracks have become staples of virtually all of drum and bass legends, from Andy C to Goldie, and make regular appearances on Grooveriders Radio 1 program. The man in a legend and no american has gained such complete entree into the heart of drum and bass.

HULK is a collaboration of the minds of two creative minds sharing a similar enthusiasm for heavy driven bass music, Claw & Richie August. After meeting at the 2009 Winter Music Conference in Miami, they began to send files back and forth to collaborate on projects in Dubstep, Hip Hop and Electro. Since the inception, Hulk has been catching the eyes and ears of artists such as Reid Speed, Reso, Mark Instinct, Ultrablack, TrillBass, High Rankin and DJ Lord of Public Enemy, just to name a few. If you like heavy basslines and beats that will make you move your feet then these 2 are your guys! Get ready for the sickness!

DOWN JONES

D-star one of USA’s legendary Drum and Bass producers has an alter ego that he would like to share with the world. He comes in the form of a slammin dubstep dj known as Down Jones. With the premiere of his dubstep album hittin this year, he is setting standards with this one! This album features 6blocc, Claw of Trillbass and Richie August as Hulk, Command Strange, Armanni Reign, Prolific, Cojaxx, NonStopKrooks, Zardonic and so many more. The album is a mixture of Dubstep, Glitch Hop, Hip Hop, and R & B but the Dubstep genre and a bit of east coast underground hip hop is most prevalent. Couldn't ask for a more bangin alter ego!!!
