millele Posted January 23 Report Share Posted January 23 so last saturday, pete and i checked out space, aka element. it's a cool venue, very very large. shawn ink (awesome!!) was spinning on the main floor, while there were hip-hop rooms on the second floor and punk bands on the third floor. the main floor has a little elevated cage and also a stage where a very loud drag queen was performing. the music was really good, especially the last half hour or so. but 2 complaints: the crowd was pretty sparse (due to the snow??), and then the place shut down at 3am!!!!! wtf! does space normally shut down that early? we did see a cop roaming around the last hour or so, so we figure that was why. but does anyone know? otherwise, very cool venue. Shame that it was quiet, but I haven't seen flyers or anything for it anywhere, so maybe not too many people know about it yet. what was the crowd like? raverkids or internationals or what?
