jadexit Posted March 26 Report Share Posted March 26 yo. i'm coming down from ny for some job interviews in dc. where is a good place to go? i'll be staying at a hotel in crystal city w/o a car. i've heard a little about this place called five, but i've never heard of the dj's they've got this thursday. i'm down with any garage, house, trance or just straight techno. peace. The DJ's, Darryl T and Cerone, are both great. Darryl has been on vacation lately so I'm not sure he'll be back this Thursday or not. He spins a mix of pretty much everything -- house, trance, some hip hop and some commercial stuff. Cerone tends to play more trance-type stuff with some hip hop mixed in every once in a while. It's $2 rail drinks and 2 for $5 domestics all night. The party usually picks up around midnight but doors are open at 9:30 and ladies are free til 10:30. If you'd like to join us, it's a really great party, good people. I think all of us agreed that the college party is beyond lame. Music was ok, but the crowd was like 17-18 year olds, hardly anyone was dancing, and the vibe just was not there. got nothing against the club, just want to give the NYer heads up on the party...
