Coming to NY for New Year's

Recommended Posts

Hey,

Just overpriced parties, attended by non-cool, non-regulars at events that are too crowded and too hot to really enjoy yourself.

Damn, that almost makes it sound like it's not fun? Sorry, not a fan of NYC on NYE. Bring your Visa, I hear they don't take American Express.

Me, I'm renting a house in the mountains with like 30 friends. Best parties are out of NYC and it's my birthday, so I'm out.

Did the city clubs...suck IMO.

Good luck.

PS - Clubnyc usually puts out an email or a forum all about New Years...keep your eyes peeled.

yea he basically hit the nail on the head. everything is mad expensive on nye. cover is pretty much anywhere from a buck 50 to a G. that generally comes w/ open bar, at least for a few hours, champagne toast, sometimes dinner, only at the smaller lounge type places though. i'll definetly keep you posted though when the info starts coming in biggrin.gif

For peaceful sleep and meditative snores,

To ceaseless din and mindless merriment

And waste of shoes and floors."

Thanks for the info. Yeah, I figured anything on New Years would be bookoo $$$.

I'm really hoping that something with an underground vibe might present itself... I need to feel some good old fashioned NY house to ring in my new year. I could care less about big name DJ's or big-name

clubs...

Basically, our LA crew is visiting our NY crew (however, the NY crew are non-clubbers), so we really can't count on them to find a great party. Any of your suggestions will REALLY help.
