This is my 4th year at Tulane University (hence to be my 4th Mardi Gras)...Steve is absolutely right, it's madness . Buy alcohol & beads in advance b/c everything is overpriced--but make sure they are GOOD beads! Check out Pat O'Brien's for their hurricanes, and make sure to hit Fat Harry's on St. Charles if you want to get out of the French Quarter for a while. I called a billion places a few weeks ago and couldn't find anything so i booked my hotel on turbotrip.com- go there if you cant find a room-GOOD LUCK!!!
