Scandalous
Personally, being a dj I think this list is great for entertainment and drama value that is it- Unless I was mistaken, JR. was left out- How did that happen? What about the female jocks? Everyone has a right to their opinion, I'm just glad I live in the NYC metro area, where I can leave one club/dj and go listen to another if I'm not feeling that particular jock on that night- and I keep my opinions to myself. PinkFloyd40
what about the dj from recess steve? remember me you and mitchell watched him mix a flawless set. i don't know about you but i was in awe... -Rob------------------"And thus they give the time, that Nature meantFor peaceful sleep and meditative snores,To ceaseless din and mindless merrimentAnd waste of shoes and floors." Nolimit
b2b,Maas IMO isn't all that. He's a better producer/remixer than he is a dj. His set consisted of like 90% of his material which I found sort of boring. The rest of the club was havin' it. I'm just a picky bastard. You should maybe check out Twilo when Timo opens up for Deep Dish. I think October 13th if Im not mistaken.
PinkFloyd40
it's ok casey, we know the deal. oakey shouldnt' be up there, imo. i don't see anyone giving paul the credit he deserves for spinning his long sets. how many other dj's on the list are spinning 8 hour sets? and jp fans please don't jump in and say 37+ sets that he does. these are so different. pvd plays a song for 3-4 minutes tops, so he'll drop 10 or maybe 15 tracks in the time that peters might still be playin one. and the trance comments, i dont' think a lot of these people are checking him out at twilo recently. I think a lot of people are just going on his mixes at gatecrasher or what not. the man said himself that he has more freedom at twilo which is clearly evident w/ the breakbeats and tech-house. i'm sorry, i hear people talkin about sasha and experimenting and recently its been breakbeat?(at least i think i remember hearing that) Casey, i dont' know about you, but from what i can recall he's been droppin mad breakbeats since, what march? and now sasha is doing it so he's setting the trend? whatever i guess, its all a matter of opinion. but pvd has amazing techinical skill so if thats a factor, i dont' see why he's so low.just my $.02-Rob------------------"And thus they give the time, that Nature meantFor peaceful sleep and meditative snores,To ceaseless din and mindless merrimentAnd waste of shoes and floors." So what you're saying - eventually - is that Sasha is copying PVD. WHAT???!!!??!?!?!? Not at any moment of your insecent rambling did you make a logical point. We are all now dumber for listening to you. I am giving you an 0 and may God have mercy on your soul.
blueangel
Back off, kaspr!!! What Rob said WAS NOT that Sasha is copying PVD!! Stop and think!! He's saying that on THIS board people are always going on and on about how great Sasha is (and he is) because he's always coming back with new experimental shit. HOWEVER, you guys all seem to be stuck on the fact that PVD is nothing but trance! Rob is right, you must of not have heard PVD at twilo then. Cause his style has been evolving like ALL DJs do. His style is harder and deeper. Yea, I'll give you that his style last year and maybe before that was very fantasy like. A lot of vocals and very trancey . . . but not now. This whole style of music is evolving and Paul is evolving right with it. Give this whole "God of Trance" shit a rest already! I'm with ya, Rob!BlueAngel------------------"Live as if your were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever."
