Guest danwang Posted April 7 Report Share Posted April 7 At the meetup, someone (sorry don't really remember the name or screen name) brought up the idea of how cool it would be to have music playing for people waiting in line for either of the events at Twilo next weekend. He suggested as a possibility, someone just hanging out in his/her car, and pumping tunes from the stereo there. Then I was thinking I could bring my speakers and decks, and people could spin on the street... but I think there might be some power (does anyone here happen to have a power generator?) and private property issues, among other things.So I was thinking, that if I do indeed go, maybe the next best thing would be to bring my Sony boombox, buy some batteries, and see how well that would work for the people who are there during the time I'm in line. So what do you think of the idea? If you like the idea, then what would you want to hear? But first...I could connect my MD or MP3/CD player to it, but I really don't want to lug those around. So it's either tape or radio (Skribble on KTU, anyone? ). If I have enough time and advance notice, I could copy from CD/MP3/MD to tape. I have a lot of stuff in each format.I have tapes of Oakenfold on KTU (two separate shows) ready to go. I was thinking of PvD at Casino... PvD at Innercity and Homelands are also options. If there's something you'd like to hear, let me know and I'll see if I have it.I also certainly hope I could check the boombox, probably where bags and cameras go.
