irolldoyou
Guys I just got a call from a source who just told me that Billboard Live miamis new super club in south beach has been talking to Mr. Acosta himself for maybe a monthly residency there. My source also wants to know who I think should be their resident Dj there and has asked for my opinion. Please tell me who you would like to see spin at Miami's new super club.ThanksFor more info on Billboard Live and their resident Djs.www.thisisnightlife.com coming in Sept 10th
pod
From what I'm hearing BB Live isn't going to be a club in our sense, more of a concert venue of sorts....it'd be surprising of GA got a residency there...

pod
Meng, I loved your CD. If I had the power, I'd score you that residency. Meng's request though, serious or not, brings a valid point...I think we need new blood down here for sure. Vegas is taking a step in the right direction by having a friend of mine (i'm not permitted to disclose who yet) have a residency. He's well-known in the industry, but doesn't have a big following in the general population...

meng
Pod, believe me, I'm working on it. I make calls everyday and I try to talk to the right people. I've been on my own with this since I started 2 years ago and I've manged to get myself gigs at Groove Jet, Liquid, and Power Studios. I was actually resident at Liquid and Power Studios at the end of 2000 before they both closed.I just finished my Transcendental mix and I've been getting some good reviews on it. It was just finished about 3 weeks ago and thankfully cooljunkie got a hold of it and gave me a good review on their website.Cooljunkie's also having that competition to win a slot at Space and I'm working on a new mix to enter that competition with more recent tracks. Wish me luck. I'm working on it.......peaceSean

aztec-mystic
He's well-known in the industry??Hey Pod, could we be talking abaut Mr. RR?
pod
I wish kinda. I think Robbie deserves a residency down here over a lot of the current 'residents' at clubs. I have a few of his CDs and am really bummed at filtered disco's underrepresentation in Miami. Ideally, he'd be good at crobar, or a small venue like the 320 space. (hint hint)...I remember when 320 was the only place where you could catch filtered disco/disco house...then mismanagement turned it into a ghetto trap. For a clue, my friend spins a bit harder than RR.
