india22
I'm thinking about getting Satellite TV, & I don't know too much about it.My bf says that since are apartment doesn't have a clear view "South" we can't have a satellite??? Is this so?I know many people who live in Manhattan high rises who have satellite, but you never see those tiny dishes anywhere, how do buildings like that provide the service?? - can't I get whatever type of system that is where the dish isn't required? Thanks for any input!!!India

lucabrase
In order for Directv to work, you need to have an unobstructed view to the southeast. I'm not sure if the Dish Network or Primestar's birds are in the same location. The major advantage of Directv is that you can get all the sports packages and they have more pay per view channels and adult channels (with full penetration). The major advantage with the sports is the NFL package. You get every game. For NBA, NHL and MLB, most of they always feature the best games on ESPN and the networks. The same goes for college basketball and college football. However, Direct TV has an exclusive agreement with the NFL that expires after this or next year. After that, you'll be able to get all the games on digital cable.
