5-HTP

Source:

Griffonia plant from Africa. A precursor to L-tryptophan and serotonin. It raises serotonin levels in the brain.

Used for:

Depression

Insomnia

Benefits:

Balances mood

Cuts time to fall asleep in half without disturbing sleep patterns

Reduces aggression

Reduces appetite

Increases beta-endorphin release

Creates a more relaxed waking state within 45 minutes

Increases pain threshold

Hints:

Take two hours before or after meals

Take with high carbohydrate (sugar) snack or liquid such as orange juice

Avoid high protein meals close to taking 5-HTP to allow maximum assimilation

Bottomline is that balances out your seratonin level, especially after depleting it after rolling.
