ablane
Is there any software available that can extract vocal tracks only from any song? any hints/techniques for this? thanks in advance.

ablane
no, i just mean remove all the background so you can isolate the singing. you know, take an elton john song and just get his voice so you can do your own remix to it?? is there some kind of secret??? lol
pipdaddy
if you would have said anything OTHER than elton john, i would have considered helping you....(NERO)..shhhh...don't tell anyone i told you
spd1980
With Cool Edit 2000 You can filter out everything but the vocals. You have to select Transform---Filters---FFT FilterThen Once the window pops up you can select one of the preset filters called "Get Off The Phone"I think this basically filters all of the frequencies except for the range of frequencies which the human voice uses. So you'll get some other elements from the song in the background with th vocals but for the most part the music will be gone.

heretic909
Programs like Cakewalk, Logic and Cubase are used when you want to combine MIDI sequencing with audio recorded directly alongside the MIDI.Pro Tools is mainly used for audio multi-tracking on the PC, and SoundForge is mainly used as an audio editor.
