vixenfoxxy
well, if you didn't try this yet, try restarting your computer then trying to load the drivers again. If not post back again and we'll try something else.
inyourdreams
Also, if you have the software for the scanner, try uninstalling it and then reinstalling it again, see if that works

rdancer
First off nice purchase but for future refrence its better to buy a USB scanner, because thats the port that windows xp can update automatically..Here is the link for your drivers You probably just got shitty connection or some shit...http://www.hp.com/cgi-bin/cposupport/swindex.pl?p=hpscanjet39525&l=en&c=MicrosoftWindowsXP
tottallyoff
Try this:1. Shut down the computer2. Unhook the scanner3. Start the computer4. Uninstall all the drivers from the computer (from Add/Remove programs option)5. If it asks you to restart - do so. If not - restart manually.6. After it restarts, shut it down7. Hook the scanner to the computer 8. Start the computer.9. When the Windows start, it will say that it has foind new hardware and wants you to install it.10. follow the directions and supply the drivers from your hard drive. 11. If you do not have the drivers, use Windows default drivers and upgrade them later.Hope this helps.
