partylog Posted January 23 Report Share Posted January 23 Hello -am rather new to this, have a specific request:If you were mid 20s, non-club crowd, more rock-oriented,and liked to dance occasionally, what club would you go to in manhattan?I don't mean a rock club to see a band, I mean to go shimmy.Basically, we want a place where we can have different rooms,one 80's, maybe one 70's, maybe one House. Variety is key,as is a bar. Also, trendy doesn't matter; we aren't exactly tryingto set trends, just shake some ass for a few hours on a Friday orSaturday night.Back in the mid 90's, the Limelight had something like this,with many different rooms, with different themes, circa 94'.Anything like that now in NYC? rudeboyyouth Posted January 23 Report Share Posted January 23 I actually loved going to Culture Club (the two times that I did go). I went about 2 and a half years ago, and I had alot of fun. Dj Grandmaster Flash was spinning oldies there and another time they had Cynthia performing. It was a good time. I don't know if Grandmaster still spins there, but it's a phat place.
