momadance
they just opened a new howard johnsons on houston street, somewhere on the east side. i dont have the #, but i'm sure you can call info for it. it has to be one of the cheapest hotels in town, plus its brand new, so it can be to bad. ps23
try the hudson hotel. they advertise rooms for $99. they might say all those rooms are sold out. the rooms are very small, but the hotel is really cool with an awesome bar. it is worth staying there. check it out. 58th and 9th, by columbus circle. tastyt
Check out the Gershwin. I'm not sure exactly how much it is, but it's a nice little funky, inexpensive place my friends stayed at, in the Flatiron district.

cro
Go to Priceline, place 3-5 star hotel, and put a bit for 100, see if that works, my boy did that in Boston, and he stayed at a 400 night hotel for 90, worth a shot, and you could be guaranteed a sweet place
