clubglow
DJ FERRY CORSTEN (SYSTEM F) At GLOWSaturday February 9th GLOW welcomes FERRY CORSTEN to GLOW for his premier performance as bi-monthly resident. The face behind the System F project is the well-known Dutch star child Ferry Corsten (27). This Dutch Trance deity is one of the hottest DJs, and most in demand producers/remixers in the world. You might recognize some of his productions pseudonyms…System F, Gouryella (with Tiesto), Moonman, and Veracocha. You might be forgiven for thinking 2001 has been a quiet year for the Dutch trance master Ferry Corsten but he’s actually become one of the biggest DJs on the international circuit. He also had a hectic summer schedule in Ibiza with a residency at Judgement Sundays at Eden, with Judge Jules, while in the UK he remains a firm favorite with the crowds at Godskitchen and Gatecrasher. On the recording front, his “Dance Valley Theme” became the anthem of the event of the same name in Holland. He released his debut album, “System F-Out of the Blue”, containing his most famous singles “Out Of The Blue”, and “Cry” as well as his latest offering “Soul On Soul”. Already, his mixed CDs for Ministry Of Sound- “Trance Nation” (1 and 2), and Moonshine – “Global Trancemissions” have topped the charts, vaulting him to the status as one of the world’s premier DJs. Ferry was named Muzik Magazine’s Producer of the Year for 2000, leaving fellow-nominees Puff Daddy and Rodney Jerkins in the dust. In May 2000, at the Dancestar 2000 awards he was presented with the award for “Best Remix” for “Barber’s Adagio for Strings”. In Holland, for his contributions to Dutch dance music; Ferry received the prestigious “Silver Harp” award. Its no wonder DJ Magazine recently named Ferry Corsten the #19 DJ in the world. What do we have to look forward to in 2002? Ferry already plans to release with Tiesto the new Gouryella album. His productions will continue to thrive, including his new anthem, “Punk” as well as collaborations with Armin Van Buuren. Oh…Ferry is looking to take over America. His second mix CD on Moonshine recoreds will be released, as well as a bi monthly residence at our very own GLOW.
