former007
Hey Folks,I need help (so to speak)........I've been in LA for two weeks now, having moved here from the UK, and I desperately need to find some good places to hang out on the weekends. At the moment I know nobody in this city except for my new work colleagues.....and they have not been particularly helpful.I need to find places where I will initially be able to go alone, without feeling like a "Johnnie no friends".......places with good friendly atmospheres where I can get to talk to people.Any advice would be gratefully received!!!! Thanks and take care!!!!CJ.

former007
Karma,Well I like most types of music. I've been to many clubs in the UK so I'm fairly clued up (not claiming to be an expert mind you).I'm not a huge fan of Techno, or hard house, although I don't detest it enough that I wouldn't be able to spend a night listening to it. I prefer the more melodic, vocal stuff (sometimes called happy house). The key really is to be able to go somewhere on my own, where there is a good atmosphere and good opportunity to talk to people.....as well as obviously enjoying the music!Hope that helps!Cheers,CJ.
