Glenn Underground is disco. This man is the music he makes. A well-groomed Afro with a pick stuck in the side, this man is as much 1974 as he is 2004. The intersection where jazz, house and disco meet, that is where Glenn, Boo Williams, Brian Harden, and Tim Harper (the Strictly Jaz Unit) hang out on the street corner and holler as the cars go by. Having over 50 releases with his name attached and many more where he goes un-credited, done all for the love of the music and the advancement of the sound. Glenn records as CVO, GU, Strictly Jaz Unit (with Boo Williams and Tim Harper), and of course Glenn Underground. He had laid down a solid foundation of music here in Chicago with releases on Balance, Cajual, Relief, Dance Mania, Guidance, 3hree to 5ive, NLC, and Dust Traxx. Europe has Glenn’s talents on Pan, Peacefrog, Djax, Defender, and SSR. Mr. Underground has remixed Dajae, Telex, Roy Davis Jr. & Peven Everett, and his legendary white label cut up of Donna Summer’s “I Feel Love†and Giorgio Moroder’s “The Chaseâ€. Seven full length LP’s to his credit this guy is sincerely keeping the disco alive and if he has it his way, it will never go away. Witness his smooth blend of the deepest Disco, smoothest Deep House, and Classics that will rock the box every time.
