oh I wish I saw this earlier, I was going to say that the Baden area is extreme beautiful I used to live there when I was younger, many spas in the mountains etc. Austria - Neuenschwanstein <---spelled wrong I'm sure) was absolutely one of the highlights of living there, there's nothing better than a carriage ride up to Cinderella's castle in the beautiful Austrian alps. Switzerland would have been ideal, there are tons of great sights throughout Germany so I'm sure you had a great time

This week's podcast is a live set from Parisian electro-minimal queen Chloé.
Perhaps best known for her residency at Le Pulp in Paris and her genre-bending (or is that gender-bending?) mix CD with Ivan Smagghe 'The Dysfunctional Family', Chloé was one of the earliest French converts to German minimal, naturally of course, crossed with a bit of French electro. As a producer, her output has run the gamut from experimental lo-fi to deep techno on labels such as BPitch Control, Kill The DJ and Kill Brique, the latest of which is a debut longplayer out this month. 'The Waiting Room' is a great example of Chloé's refusal to be pigeonholed, finding room for acoustic experiments and drone pop amid the gravelly ambient techno.
A refugee from the artier side of the musical spectrum, Chloe studied at the Academy of Music in Paris, wrote electro-acoustic music, and even scored contemporary dance before finding her niche behind the decks as a club DJ. For her RA podcast, Chloe dispenses with the French chic and spins a surprisingly brash big room set which slyly mixes up import minimal 12"s and dirtier local fare. Tres chic.
Three answers from Chloé:
What have you been working on recently?
I've been working with Krikor, the french DJ & producer, on some tracks.
Where was the mix recorded?
It was recorded at Mundo/Madrid where I played two weeks ago. One of the best clubs in Europe.
What are you up to next?
I'll be working on a mix CD for Playhouse Records.
