  13. To create a ?similar nightlife environment" that the world known las vegas strip is famous for, but catering to the locals rather than tourists. It will be held at Roadrunner Bar & Grill (off Eastern & Pebble). A mellow, laid back, yet energetic & fun local party! The objective is to entertain locals by creating an intense and social atmosphere without all the hassles, cover charge, dress codes, and long lines!!! On the contrary, to create an event for all those that either DO work in the industry (on the strip at nightclubs/hotels) or go out to the strip regularly! I want to provide those particular individuals with a chance to mingle with locals and to take a break from the scene for a night to unwind! The beauty of it is, industry professionals that are required to be out promoting on their nights off, can still attend this event as a pre-party then head to the tedious strip! Each week we have a different Host from a different nightclub/venue as the Guest Host! Most of the nightclubs staff also attends and helps create a great energy! Business sponsors raffle off a very special gift bag every week to one female & one male. The music is incredible & well admired. Resident DJ is Carlos Sanchez and live percussionist Cayce Andrew! The furniture is moved to create a dance floor & the lower level tables are reserved for bottle service. Did I mention bottles are ONLY $150!!! I hope you are as excited as I am about this concept! It's about time that someone begins to focus on locals and creates a diverse, exciting event off the strip, yet bringing the energy & professionals from the strip to the event! 18. Josh Gabriel has a way of reaching inside you and pulling something magical out. .His production, music, and lyrics have sent thousands into dance floor frenzies. He's a bit shy though - and he's the last person in a room to talk about himself. .So here's what you need to know. . Gabriel started off as an inquisitive kid, love-struck by music. As a teen, he was doing odd jobs to buy his first synthesizer. Within weeks of that purchase, he wanted to understand the inner workings of sound itself. Examining music and technology together made Gabriel want to deconstruct it. Figure it out from a deeper perspective. .From there, he sought to build his own music around the limitless possibilities that technology offered. . This experimentation led Gabriel into a myriad of music-infused roles. Gabriel began his professional career in music behind the scenes, as an audio engineer installing Sonic Solutions into major LA based music studios, which led to receiving a platinum record for his mastering of Disney's Aladdin Soundtrack. From there, he dove even deeper into technology, inventing patented algorithms for interactive music. By the early 90s, he applied his genius to founding Mixman Technologies, the first company to bring digital audio remixing to the masses. . After Mixman, Josh rose to international fame as part of the duo Gabriel & Dresden, winning seven industry awards for producing, songwriting and DJing - and achieving seventeen number #1 Billboard Dance Chart hits. . But even these accomplishments pale in comparison to his new solo effort "Eight." Inspired by his life and the city of Amsterdam, Josh approached his latest collection of tracks from the perspective of a dance floor purist, while at the same time imprinting enough soul to reach anyone, thanks to his brand of musical techno and groundbreaking production. As a nod to its title, "Eight" will be released in October 2008. . This fall, Gabriel also announced the launch of Different Pieces, an independent record label and management group that integrates all aspects of an artist's career. Gabriel founded the company with long-time business manager Guy Ornadel and his wife, Kristy Gabriel. .Together, they deliver a unique depth of experience by combining their individual strengths in music, artist marketing, and the related business aspects that drive and build artist's career. . No one-page bio could possibly cover all of Gabriel's many roles in the music community. So, check the timeline and delve deeper into Josh's numerous accomplishments. Then ask him what you want. You will definitely be surprised.
  19. with guests: JDH & Dave P The electronic duo is comprised of James Ford and Jas Shaw formally of experimental indie band Simian. The two took to playing DJ sets after Simian gigs and thus the "mobile disco" took on a life all its own. Coming into the spotlight with the ubiquitous dance-floor remix of Justice vs Simian's "We Are Your Friends" SMD found themselves embraced by dance music fans who were looking for more. When crafting original compositions in earnest, James and Jas purposefully chose to exclusively use analog equipment giving their arrangements a distinct, human quality.

  21. Darren Emerson is one of the most influential figures in dance music - after a career spanning more than 17 years and counting... Whilst growing-up on a diet of hip-hop, break dancing and later acid house, Emerson brought his first set of decks at 14 and began DJing in clubs at 16. Inspired by DJs such as Jazzy M, Emerson would travel two hours on a train from his hometown in Essex to visit record stores across London for the latest vinyl. His first gig was at a club called Outers in Southend, playing early Chicago and Balearic house. He then progressed onto the Milk Bar and Limelight, DJing alongside Johnny Walker and soon gaining recognition, being named as DJ of the month in both the Face and I-D magazine - bookings from across the UK and beyond followed... Emerson soon chose to ditch his job as an established city trader (or 'runner' on the stock exchange) and take on dance music full time. Recently turned 18, a friend introduced him to Rick Smith and Karl Hyde. Smith and Hyde had been in a band together for several years and needed a new injection from a DJ/Producer - in the form of Emerson - and the rest is... Underworld. Signed to Junior Boys Own - whom Emerson was already producing for, the band released three albums: 'Dubnobasswithmyheadman', 'Second Toughest in the Infant' and 'Beaucoup Fish' - and have since sold over a million albums world wide. Their hits include Cowgirl, Rez, Dark and Long and Born Slippy - all classics. The band were also renowned for their stunning and unpredictable live shows. 2000 saw Emerson depart from the band and go at it solo style. Although Underworld had been his passion for 10 years, it was time to branch out; expand his DJíng and to work with producers he was meeting on his travels across the world. The first collaboration saw Emerson and DJ cohort Sasha produce the Ibiza classic - 'Scorchio' - a perfect accompaniment for Space on Sundays. Re-establishing himself as a tech-house heavy weight, two Global Underground compilations soon followed; 'Uruguay' and 'Singapore' and the hugely succesfull Underwater Episodes 1 and 2. All proving that Emerson was back to doing what he does best; showcasing a party-wise selection of deep, chunky house and funky techno cuts to perfection. Emerson has also, since his first remix for Gat Décor's 'Passion' on Effective Records in 1992 (Emerson's first label), remixed tracks for Fat Boy Slim, The Prodigy, Puff Daddy, Hatiras' 'Spaced Invader' (Defected) Meeker and gus gus. Emerson started Underwater Records in 1994. Initially to release records for his friends, the label has, since it's inception, seen releases from Steve Mac, Mutiny, Meeker, Gus Gus, Pnau, Paul Jackson, Sharam Jey and Tim Deluxe - whose 'Sirens/ We All Love Sax' and 'It Just Won't Do' managed to put Underwater firmly in place on the independent label spectrum.. As well as producing club cuts for Underwater under his H2O moniker Darren has begun work on his eagerly anticipated debut album. DJing wise, Emerson continues his hugely successful Underwater residency at London's The End on the last Saturday of every second month, now in its 4th year. The residency began in February 2001 and has since seen the likes of Fatboy Slim, Jon Carter, Medicine8, King Unique, Tim Deluxe, Lottie, Kidstuff, Yousef, Future Shock, Sharam Jey and Mutiny kick the dancefloor into touch. In 2001 and 2002, Emerson paired up with Erick Morillo to create Subliminal V's Underwater at Pacha, Ibiza. The night won Best Ibiza Club for both years at the Muzik Awards. Darren continues his unrelenting schedule of Djing across the UK and the world - and at some point he sleeps.
