At Three Years Old, He Began To Drum On His Own First Drum Set. At Age 15 He Had His First Contact With Electronic Music. Records Such As Stakker Humanoid, Orbital Or 808 State And After Visiting Frankfurts Legendary Clubs Like Dorian Gray, Omen And Various Events Such As Mayday And Loveparade (1990/91/92), His Interest And Fascination To Produce Electronic Music Increased Steadily. Briefly After The Purchase Of Two Technics, He Scratched Together Last Savings, Sold His Drumset And Begun To Buy Piece By Piece Midi-Equipment In Order To Train To Work With This Nevertheless For The Beginning Much Complicated Subject Like Sampler, Synthesizers, Midi And Mixer. After Practicing For Many Years, And Djing In The Parental House, He Met Christopher (Julian) Smith For The First Time, Who Had Staged Several Events At That Time In Hanau And Made The 1st Place In Entering A Malboro DJ Contest. 1994 There Were First Parties: Mygge Vs. Smith In Various Outlying Buildings Around And In Hanau. Legendary Was The Party In The Former Orangerie In The Philipsruhe Castle, That Place, Where Today The Landesgartenschau Took Place. 800 Guests Had Come, And Although The Parties Were Always Illegal, There Were Only Rarely Serious Problems With The Police. Those Followed Many Small And Large Parties, The Musicenforcement- Team Organised Together. Most Well-Known Was The Tunnel-Party-Series (1995-2002) In One Of Hanaus Motorway Underpasses, Which Counted Up To 900 Visitors. Andreas Had First Official Gigs In The Club Ostparkstrasse In Frankfurt. Among Others He Played With Heiko Laux And Laurent Garnier. Gigs In The MTW In Offenbach, Various Radio Appearances And One Evening In The U-Bar Of The U60311 Followed. Over The Years Andreas Developed Its Own Style, Djing And Also His Productions (At That Time Not Yet Published) Always Provided With A Certain Musical Marking. The Structure, The Warmth Of Similar Sounds And The Emotions Play A Basic Role Until Present. In 1997, As A Result Of Record Purchases In Frankfurt/Hanaus Freebase, He Became Acquainted With Olaf Zern, The Owner Of Freebase. Olaf Looked For Local Acts For His New Label Raum...Musik. After He Had Heard Through Batch Tapes, He Found 4 Suitable Tracks. The Track Boogiemonster Became Immediately A Small Hit And HR XXL, A Local Radio Station, Took It Up For Airplay-Rotation. Short Time Later He Was Taken Up To Sven Vths Booking Agency Cocoon. Not Least Owing To Co-Operation With Pauli Steinbach. D.Diggler Was The Starting Signal. The Name, Inspired By The Trashy Movie Boogie Nights, Was Well-Known Rapidly And You Could Find Many Of His Tracks In Various DJ-Charts And Playlists Of Famous Djs. Until Today He Published Innumerable 12" On Different Labels, Incl. Episode, Planet Vision, Raum...Musik, Resopal, Force Inc. Etc, As Well As Several Remixes. For More Then Ten Years Now, These Two Have Spread Their Good Vibes From Reykjavik To Moscow And Further To Tokyo With No Plans Of Slowing Down. Some Call The Duo Berlins New Wonder-Boys, But Actually They Come From A Small Town On The Baltic Sea, And Have Been Residing In Hamburg For Some Time Now. Kollektiv Turmstrasse Draws A Lot Of Influence From The People Around Them, So Living In Hamburg Has Greatly Influenced Their Music. However, These Guys Cant Be Easily Classified: Kollektiv Turmstrasse Makes Music For The Moment And For Eternity, For Indoors And For Open Air, For The Soul And For The Dancefloor, For You And For Me. Along With Releases On Connaisseur, Diynamic, Cocoon And Ostwind, Kollektiv Turmstrasse Has Also Been Working On Their Very Own Label Musik Gewinnt Freunde, Which They Started In 2006. With Their Big Tunes "Tristesse" And "Grillen Im Park", The Guys Had Already Played Themselves Into The Hearts Of Their Permanently Growing Fanbase. However, Their Big Breakthrough Came In 2009, With The "Kollektiv Turmstrasse Let Freedom Ring Rmx" For Federleichts "On The Streets". In November 2010, The Duo Presented Their Long-Awaited First Longplayer "Rebellion Der Trumer" (Rebellion Of The Dreamers), Which Came Out On Connaisseur Recordings. On This Album They Reflect Their Progress Of The Last Years And Another Great Site Of What They Are Doing. A Lot Of Love, Time And Passion Left Their Marks On That Album For It To Reach Your Heart And Head And To Take You On A Musical Journey. Furthermore, Kollektiv Turmstrasse Released Remixes Of "Rebellion Der Trumer" By Jimpster And Robag Wruhme On Connaisseur Recordings In June 2011. 9. Deadmau5 Encore Beach Club Monday, May 30, 2011 Featuring Deadmau5 * Deadmau5 Found lurking in the creative laboratory known as the ?deadmau5 disco den of despair and inequity? this creative ingenue runs the gamut of beats unlike any other. Since his inception deadmau5 has stormed our planet with chart topping action and playlists from the best of the best. deadmau5's magnificent stylings have a captured an audience that has moves with him and his sounds. Ranging from thumping to the electro, the weird and the strong - one thing has become synonymous with deadmau5 and that is world class quality. This Canadian native transplanted from the borders of Niagara Falls to Toronto and that's just the beginning of his tale. In Niagara he was the co-producer of a radio program "the party revolution" and that may very well have been the launch of the deadmau5. From the many collaborations which have transpired alongside friend and companion sound genius Steve Duda, the moniker of BSOD was born. Meanwhile in Canada deadmau5 has helped position label Play Digital as a top selling label online landing number 1 singles and remixes on digital market via Beatport.com. These singles have seen play by the likes of Pete Tong, John Acquaviva, Chris Lake, Sebastien Leger, Nic Fanciulli, Jody from WOW, Donald Glaude and many many more... Currently working with the group 24twentyfour the future is powered by the sounds of deadmau5. Now with his own label 'Xfer records' and 'mau5trap'. Mightier than a sonic boom the house of mau5 is a powerful force on the dancefloors of the globe. *

  11. James Zabiela Vessel Wednesday, May 25, 2011 Knowing what a great track should sound like - and the place it can be taken by warping and twisting it - is James Zabiela's forte. Layering different sounds with the aid of two Pioneer CDJ-2000s, a Pioneer EFX-1000, Korg Kaossilator, MIDI controller and a laptop, his hands and ears don't let up for a second, leaving any punters feet a-moving and mouth a-gap. Zabiela?s demands for such a kit wherever he spins is a reminder that he's one of the scant few DJs who's pushing things forward in ?09. James' style is trippy, bleepy and deeply - nay, downright - groovy. Oh, and watch out for a few gnarly basslines along the way, those nasty, dirty sounds are a part of JZ's signature now. Scratches, loops, and fluttering chord changes are all par for the course in a Zabiela set. No wonder childhood idols Depeche Mode remain his heroes - like fellow tech-house don Mathew Bushwacka!, they all understand that the best electronic music moves both heart and feet. And if the magic's there, the spirit will fly as well. "Entertainment and education are the key," nods James sagely. "It's all about finding the balance. People have paid good money to have a party but you still need a balance." Which is why his effects unit is so crucial to his performance. "Anyone can mix two records to a degree," he grins, while still admitting to the odd bout of nervousness during radio interviews if not behind the decks. "But I'm a hundred times more confident than I used to be. DJing has definitely helped my confidence as a person." Watching him play, it?s easy to forget that making things look easy takes time to perfect. Zabiela?s crossed a few bridges - and a few national boundaries - along the way. "I haven't worked it all out yet," he adds. "But I do wish I could grow an extra arm sometimes!" James' career so far has been stratospheric to say the least. Swiftly snapped up by Sasha's Excession agency, he spent the next year taking on Eastern Europe, Australia, South America and the US of A, while still finding time to record well-received CDs for Renaissance and unleash a string of fine remixes along the way. Royksopp, Ladytron and progressive artists Spooky have all been under the Zabiela scalpel - and more are on their way. Pushing the envelope while still learning to cope with a real-life fan base and life on the other side of the record counter, it?s unlikely that James Zabiela will be taking a breather anytime soon. There are further late niteries like Tribal Sessions and Matter to entertain and regular slots in Romania and Budapest to attend to. On a recent trip to Argentina he played a five-hour set in front of 6,500 screaming punters at Moonpark in Buenos Aires. No wonder Sasha refers to James as the guv'nor, This is still just the beginning.

  21. The 2 Hottest Drum & Bass Production Companies to ever emerge from DC Team up to F*CK SH*T Up!!!! 3D & 2Tuff Productions Proudly Presents, Ultrabass Featuring:DJ Marky UltraBar Wednesday, June 22, 2011 9:00 PM - 3:00 Am With over 20 years as a true international professional, DJ Marky has taken the level of artistry involved in DJing and music production to a whole new level. The mild-mannered Brazilian first popped up on the global radar in the mid to late 90s, just as the Jungle scene was starting to take a proper foothold in clubland. With a background mainly comprising of Hip Hop, Funk, Techno, and a well-attended residency in Sao Paulo, the Jungle movement really caught his attention and the genre soon became a true and unrelenting passion. The big break, however, came when Movement travelled to Brazil and DJ Marky was spotted by legend of the scene Bryan G. One track was all it took to pioneer a tour to the Uk and spawn a career spanning two decades. That track, of course, was LK, written alongside compatriot XRS. A meteoric rise to stardom soon followed, fueled by the success of LK reaching Number 15 in the Uk Top 20 chart, and further catapulted by what is widely referred to as one of the greatest compilations of all time, The Brazilian Job. The album proved a perfect showcase for the talents of DJ Marky, combining tracks and scratching techniques in flawless fashion and showing that element of flair and creativity sorely lacking at the time from the Drum & Bass scene. Now, after years of incessant touring, DJ Marky is still one of the most revered and coveted DJs in clubland and festival-land, having headlined Brazils premier outdoor festival Skolbeats nine years in a row. His productions have graced many a compilation and are played by some of the biggest names in DnB, his label Innerground Records goes from strength to strength, and the DJ Marky & Friends brand continually strives for world domination, having secured residencies in some of the most glamorous cities on the planet, including London, Paris, Tokyo, and Sao Paulo. So, almost 100 releases in various formats, mediums and genres down the line, including high profile remixes for Everything But The Girl, Claude Von Stroke, Fatboy Slim, and Deadmau5 - and DJ Marky is still at the top of his game, with no signs of slowing down. A raft of releases are scheduled for 2010, including a string of vinyl releases and mixed compilations, as well as an extensive tour schedule, ensuring that each and every continent gets a glimpse of a true performer doing what he does best.
