early days of twilo was 90% euro...accents,weird dancing antics, and drunken fools everywhere....but all respectable to the people around them. ahh loved it back then.. baktun is my favorite place in nyc..not just for the music aspect..but also for the crowd...the bartenders...the security...the coat check girl...ALL really cool people. -z "iheartbaktun"

kind of lost touch with that world.... just curious if anyone else ever was around... the concert-going community for these bands reminds me of all you guys... going to every show together with a posse of 20 or so. i guess i miss it a bit...cause it was more pure and drama-less -z

i used to listen to ride my bloody valentine dinosaur jr. catherine wheel ocean colour scene pale saints blur jesus and mary chain neds atomic dustbin bleach charlatans manic street preachers pulp shed seven these animal men.. supergrass many more..those are just off the top of my head. anyone else out there that used to run the irving plaza,marquis,roseland,ritz,cbgb,wetlands,mercury lounge circuit?? i wonder what happen to all those bands?

i was drunk... but...varela was dope flipping the faders between three decks....tweaking the eq to the point where you think its the track....cueing up like a madman and he is the first dj i have seen that takes a new approach to beatmatching....when the beats fall out..he grabs the record and scratches it for 4 beats and then lets it go back on beat...it didnt work everytime...but when it did..wow that place fucking rocked last night. -z "ihearttekno"
