  1. it'll be interesting how it turns out...unlike D.C. and NY where there are several afterhours venues where each one kinda has it's own crowd, Trust will only be the second afterhours club in the area (first being China Room which closes at the wee hours of 4am...hehe)...(Paradox is out of the way, and 1722 is too small)...also, a lot of people go to China Room just to go out late, so I figure with people getting tired of CR, they will shift over to Trust just to stay out afterhours (not caring for the dj, system, etc.)..unless of course they put up a rope and someone at the door...which prolly wouldn't work in B-more...

  2. i wouldn't call it a hardcore techno cd since it has derb, night club, helikopter, the moon, ben sims, and other familiar stuff...just that I have some copies of it sittin around and figured I'd ask if anyone was interested before the tunes got too dated....if you are, just send me an email and I'll send one out...:)

  3. hey folks...

went to Insomnia to check out Skribble...music was real good (no YBT breakdown, even though we kept requesting it...hehehe)...the space has potential...however, there was no air circulation inside whatsoever...I'm assuming something wasn't working 'cause it was real bad inside...starting sweating as soon as we entered the place...and it wasn't that packed...as for security, they needs some fucking manners on how to treat the customers at the end of the night...they tried kicking us (the only ones dancing) out while the music was still going and with about 50 people standing around...not my fault Skribble hadn't stopped (and I wasn't complaining either)...piss poor professionalism if u ask me...

anyway, anyone interested in a techno cd I put together lemme know...(before it gets really outdated...hehe)

  4. big fan of BBB here...however, his last appearance at Nation was a big dissapointment...he barely played any of his signature hard house style tracks...he played a lot of disco house, only stayed around 130 bpm, and played each track about 3 min or so, which is a very long time for him...hopefully that was an off night...can't make it this weekend, so please post reviews next week...

    Peace,

    Hal

  5. usually the main place I go when I'm up there...depending on the dj/party, they sometimes don't close 'til 6/7...nice space...in the spring/summer, they have a tent outside with more djs...

  6. thanks...that's another one I'll have to add to my checklist...how was Bravo Bravo in terms of club size/crowd?

As for Digweed, I'm not gonna be able to make it...I'll be out of town for a few weeks...sounds like it's gonna be another crazy night @ Twilo, though...

  7. yeah...went there last Sat...paid $15...maybe I didn't stay long enough, but it definitely wasn't worth the $$ from 12-3...the DJ had good mixing skills, but the music never really went anywhere...it was all bangin' techno, but that's about it...he played each track for about the entire length or so (6-8 min each)..no build-ups, no change in style, no workin the tables...while I like a good techno set, the programming of the tracks was kinda blah...is this the typical Sat. nite?
