  2. blkraven, I suggest moving to Miami. They love that sort of trance thing. That's all they hear down there. George Acosta (puke) is the messiah. Sorry to say mate, Ferry Corsten, Matt Darey and Tiesto are producing some grade A cheese material lately. They may have been the bomb a year or 2 ago, but that sound has moved on into different realms. Nowadays, when I go clubbing. I don't want to hear the same tracks over and over. I want to hear some shit that I've never heard of. Sasha & Diggers are a prime example. Just to let you know, Quivver, Dave Seaman, aren't playing trance anymore. You'll see on June 9th. Straight up progressive house on the quality tip. ------------------
  3. Off the chain! Which tracks did it for you?? ------------------
  4. Just curious. What type of music are you into? What djs do you like to go hear? ------------------
  5. Let's put an end to all this different rumours why Sasha & Diggers left. They left early to catch a flight back to England to play at the massive festival called 'Homelands'. Another thing. I think Digger's was brilliant. Nice, dark and deep stuff. For those that want to hear Mercury & Sollace and all those last year anthems... It ain't going to happen. You should know these guys by now. They change their set everytime they come to Twilo. New tracks, different style, and always keeping it underground. If you want to hear anthems and candy trance, you'll have to go when PvD is in town. He plays the same set everytime! Same 'ol 'Avenue, For an angel, Another Way, and Binary Finary' Come on people, those were last years tunes. I have to disagree with everyone here, I thought it was a brilliant set last night. I liked it better than last month's 3 year Ann. set. Tracks of the night -Close my eyes- Kismet Totally blew us away! easy ------------------
  6. Thumbs up for Twilo tonight. That's if you're into that kind of sound. Exit is more like domestic hard house. ------------------
  7. You'll find that the vibe across the pond is much better. Twilo is definitely considered as one of America's best club. Believe it or not, but I happen to like the new Space club in Miami as one of the best. It all doesn't matter because everyone has different tastes. Just wanted to make it clear that there are ton of better clubs out there. ------------------
  8. Sunday May 28 (Memorial Day Weekend) After you're done chowing down at all the picnics Sunday, dance it all off at FUN! 'Til Noon Productions is proud to bring you a night of sizzling sounds to kick in the summer at this new downtown hotspot. DJ's Bill Patrick, DJ Que, and James Bem will be providing the sounds with a mixture of everything from house, techno, and progressive trance. FUN 130 Madison St. (directly underneath the Manhattan Bridge) 21+over (bring ID) No Cover! 212.964.0303 info: tilnoon@hotmail.com ------------------
  9. Digweed written all over it. DT has similar tastes and they both go dark and deep but you can tell the diffierence. They're 2 of my favorites and they always know how to rock it. I don't know why it was so freakin hot in there. I can just see how hot it's going to get during the summer months. I hope they sort that out. ------------------
  10. It's at FUN. Downtown's newest HOTSPOT. Check out the promoter's forum for more details. No Cover! ------------------
  11. Blkraven> I noticed that you said that you're getting tired of the deep and dark sound that S & D are playing. Well, I just wanted to mention that Scott Bond also changed his style a bit into that dark progressive sound that you call wannabe trance. I am sure Gatecrasher will be doing a summer tour here in NYC. I think I saw it on their website. I don't quite remember the date. I'll try and find out... ps- I was at GC2000 as well. I had a good time, but it wasn't worth all the cash I spent. ------------------
  12. LOL. Oakie is known to be a crap mixer... And if anything, Fluoro is more respectable cd than his Tranceport release. ------------------
  13. Terry Francis is tech house. Great Fabric resident. Deeper shades of hooj would be classified as progressive house and trance. Good music is good music no matter what genre it is. ------------------
  14. Wednesday nights are great. Good music and great crowd on a smaller, more intimate scale. ------------------
  15. I happen to like FUN as well. I am throwing another party there next Sunday (Mem. weekend) that will feature Bill Patrick, Que, and James Bem (Satellite). peace ------------------
  16. I don't believe that. Paul loves to play at Twilo. I believe he left early to play at Giant. ------------------
  17. For the locals, I'll have to say Bill Patrick, Touch bros (Billy & Sean), Tini Tun, and Mike Bryant. I've only heard him once though. ------------------
  18. Not to crazy about him but I may be of some help. He is playing at shadow lounge in Miami in a few weeks. www.shadowlounge.com ------------------
  19. Webster Hall. I wouldn't even send my worst enemy there. Well... Maybe I would... How about Cheetah club. That place is pretty cheesy and full of people that can care less of what and who is playing. Actually, on Saturdays, most of the clubs in NYC are like that. ------------------
  20. Exit has mad potential to put NY back on the map. A big problem that I see is that the crowd they cater for doesn't care about the music. As long as it goes boom boom, and those cheesy 3 min long drumrolls, it's considered good enough for them. Ask around. See if anyone knows who is dj'ing. Nada! Maybe a handfull at most. Something is obviously working because they're still packing the place on Saturdays. ------------------
  21. All I ask is for a decent message board with interesting posts and topics. Let's keep the wankers away. easy ------------------
  22. It'll come out in the beg of JULY. peace ------------------
  23. Don't come here posting that crap again. What did I tell you. If you don't have something good to say, than keep your mouth shut! First of all, Luis Diaz is from Miami and has lived there for years. He is probably one of Miami's best djs. Tenaglia used to show him the ropes back in the day when he used to live there. Now he opens up for PvD at Twilo and travels the globe to gigs we only dreamed of seeing. Jimmy Van M, another FL resident who moved to NYC to pursue a respecatble career djing, producing, and also runs of the best artist management group in the US. If these 2 didn't do it for you at Space, maybe you should take your ass back to Shadow Lounge and get your dose of Acosta candy trance. One of the main reasons why I left Miami was because of the close minded, clueless individuals like yourself who aren't open to anything new. I'm done... ------------------
  24. Trust me.. I didn't miss the April gig. Maybe you're confusing me with someone else. This time around I think Seaman will close up shop. ------------------
  25. I am willing to bet my entire cd collection that GU016 Tenaglia-London will not be out next tuesday nor the tuesday after that. So what if the promos are out... That doesn't mean squat. I'll ask the guys from Boxed. They're the ones who run Global Underground. ------------------
