This sucks. I kind of grew to like that place. Never was fond of the name Arc though. Always liked Vinyl. God there were some AWSOME djs there...Cant even remember them all...From Oakie to Chris Liebing. I am particularly saddened by the latter fact. It was pretty much the only place where you would be able to hear a cutting edge new style. The VINYL (ARC) is dead! Lond Live VINYL (ARC)!!!

It will be effectively dead as soon as "1 AM" Law becomes effective. AND YOU DO KNOW IT WILL COME TO THAT!!! So yeah we are enjoying a few "big" name djs on ONE weekend out of what 2-3 months? Come on. And have you seen the crowds lately? New York is not dead, it burried and it is up to us to give it CPR

I was there at Arc and was as disgusted by their set as blown away by Fleming's. I loved their Global DJ Broadcast and the Essential Mix sets, and expected something similar, but all I got was the usual "deepdark&dirty". Why the fuck does everyone try do something special they spin in NYC? When I go to see a DJ, I wanna hear stuff I like to hear him spin! Fleming made up for their crap with some amazing Goa...

Hi everyone! I am in Chicago for work training and want to go out on thursday. Any ideas? Any websites with Chicago club calendar? PS. I like techno, trance(not expecting to find any here) and very picky about house...

Who was closing for him? The kid looked italian, young. He spinned hardstyle, and some other melodic, but very hard stuff. Please, anybody??

nyis4meatheads: where you gonna be? to tell you the truth I dont remember Avalon much, I was there only once and most likely pretty fucked up.... ...anyway, I'll be wearing a dark blue t-shirt with green writing on the back, forgot the rest of my decent shit in NY, but I got black framed glasses on, kinda like Richie Hawtin's, and I am 6'2" and my girl is pretty tall as well hope you can find me

wednesday night recipe from CTAC: nice joint + good sound system in the car + 2-3 hour ride wherever the road takes me = best time ever! ...and it doesnt depend on what type of music you like...

nyis4meatheads: thank you! for you and the other technoheads outhere: just read on the NYC thread: Arc in the next 2 months: Mauro Picotto, Luke Slater, Marco Carolla! ...and Judge Jules(yes, I do like him) About Howells: he was the DJ that made me like house music, started with Nocturnal Frequencies Anthology cd that came with Muzik magazine last year, and it was AMAZING, but now he's had too much of Tenaglia infuence, I heard this bastard even tell him what tracks to spin when DH is there for occasional friday nights

I've been burning CDrs with cue sheets for over 3 years and always used CDRWin, tried NERO a few times and it never worked. I think its either a bug or Nero cue sheets are in different format than CRDWin's.

Judge Jules coming to Arc Saturday 2/1/03
CTAC replied to archangel69's topic in New York / New Jersey
stop dissing Jules people! He spins hard trance and you dont need much mixing skills for that, unless you trainwreck twice per track, the tunes are nice and HE IS HAPPY AND NOT AFRAID TO SHOW IT... Also, he spinned at a low-key thursday night party @ Roxy about a year ago, and he played really good deep/tribal house set, and YES HE DID IT WELL PEACE -
yeah Digweed is NICE, I time I saw him in World on Detla Heavy tour and got so energized I emptied a glass of kamikaze on some guys head for being rude, ended up having a fight and being throw out on Times Square, with blood spraying all over... That was quite an experience!

did I say January 39th? I think its time for me to go home... PS Jan 30th

i was dancing like a maniac this Saturday at Arc to John OO Fleming, first time I ever went to a club w/o smoking up and DAMN IT WAS GOOD! I actually had energy to dance... Regarding Christian Smith, this guys is in NYC 24/7, but I never get to seem his cause he always spins on worknights and I dont do the trial and error thing when I have to get up at 6:30 am. Next DJ worthy no-sleep-till-end-of-workday is Nick Warren on 39th in Centro...

i dont know about Mills, he aint like Vath or Hawtin at all, doesnt he spin minimal techno? thats kinda boring, no? Saturday at Centro-Fly: your boy Chris Porter
