  1. As much as I hate posting here, I will to say that Pete Tong can flip it. I used to think that the man was all hype and a windbag but after hearing him play at the URB's WMC yacht party a few years back, I have total respect for his skills and track selection. He is a radio DJ afterall and has to go the gamit for all his listeners. And he is straight up a great guy when you chat with him, and boy does he know his shit.

  2. NO, didn't make it, could not get in touch with A. Still want to get something set for saturday day perhaps...

    :spin2::stupid:

But yeah, Get some giveaways ready... but either way:

MARTINI RED, this SATURDAY, APRIL 24, If you are on SI, come on by...

Some sweat ass beats, free treats and booze as cheap as an alcholics wet dream...

  3. hey djeffect, I play with Kinky at Martini...

Just want to say to keep at it, people will come. Not everyone wants to travel into Manhattan every night, so you just have to stay consistant with realistic expectations and the word will spread to those who would want to come.

Either way just have some fun, you can really play whatever you want and be creative with it.

Try to come through this Saturday, we do a house party the last weekend of every month, like my partner said its been good so far running.

As far as that hiphop crowd... there might have been a HH party the week b4 and they came back for more.

DISCO DELAY COST OD BOY'S LIFE, SAYS MOM

    By DAREH GREGORIAN

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

April 9, 2002 -- James Wiest died from an "ecstasy" overdose at Twilo - but he might have lived if the now-defunct nightclub hadn't waited three hours to call an ambulance, his mother charges in a $120 million lawsuit.

The suit, filed yesterday in Manhattan Supreme Court, says the delay wasn't a mistake - it was "motivated by malicious intent."

The Manhattan club knew the city was investigating drug use and sales there, and ordered staffers not to call 911 if anyone OD'd. Instead, they were told to hide them in a secret room called the "safe area" until they came to, the suit says.

The court papers charge they kept up the practice even after Wiest's death, and cite an October 2000 incident where police found three unconscious people hidden in the room after being told by club security there was no one there who needed help.

The club's lawyer, Peter Sullivan, said, "Those allegations are not true."

Wiest, 21, was a biomedical engineering major at Johns Hopkins University who went to the West 27th Street club with some friends for a "rave" on July 23, 2000. He bought a tab of ecstasy while inside, and passed out on the dance floor at about 4 a.m., the suit says.

"Security personnel removed [Wiest] . . . and secreted him in a hidden area of the club, where he lay there for hours, without proper medical assistance," the lawsuit claims.

The club finally called 911 at 6:53 a.m., "after Mr. Wiest started coughing certain bodily contents," the suit says. He was pronounced dead a short time later at St. Vincents Hospital.

Twilo was shuttered last year, due in part to the Wiest incident. The suit seeks money and punitive damages from the club's former owners and security personnel.

  5. You can also look at it this way... last time they were here the venue was nice, but the sound was totally off (think dirty rave noise) and the staff was caught completly off guard with controling the crowds in the front and many people never got in or waited 5 hours to get in. At least here these issues will be a little better handled.

And last but not least BUY YOUR TICKETS IN ADVANCE. that way there is less room for the world regulars and noknowers to get in.

And really, there is a whole mess of tour and production peoples invovled to make this a better than usuall night at the place so we can only a wait, see and hope for the best...

  6. Saw them after they relesed their last album, great tunes that crossbreeds'themany genres of house, glowing with mutated funk and rhythms accompanied by live acoustics.

The live show was comprised of a part live and part digitized act, full band and vocalists.

Top notch if you ask me... just go...

    (Iwasthemusiceditorforthissiteforawhileso...)

    see you there perhaps

Yeah thats funny, but it would sound a lot funnier coming out of the hole in your winpipe into the voicebox you'll be speak through in 15 years. So, your saying that its ok to not only kill yourself but to kill others people as well?

  8. About f-ing time... people who smoke sux, twice over and I can't wait till you start to die off.... there is nothing I hate more than coming home from somewhere with new threads smelling worse than the laundry I forgot to do last month (thats why I had to buy the new cloths in the first place).

Seriously though, smoking is just plain stupid, you waste money, lung tissue and lifespan... where the logic, whats the reason. If you want to smoke, do the world a favor and buy a bubble suit, chill with your other bubble boys and bubble girls in some hole somewhere deepunderground. Stop fuking up the my cloths and my air when I am trying to get my groove on.

"that will be $7.10 please sir, and can I see your id?"

  11. Hey all, been away for a little bit, taking some time off from the club and clubplanet world (need to do that every once and awhile)...

But since leaving CP I have started working with a new production company called HEADRUSH MUSIC for my friend David Christopher, he's been doing Saturdays at Barcode.

Anywho, starting April 7th we have a floor at a new space called CLUB3000 on 39th street. We've booked DJ's Hiro, Corbett and Victor Dinaire for the first month and its shaping up to be a good party.

So, we are looking for a number of promoters to work with us on Saturdays in April and beyond on this or other projects.

If you are interested and I hope you are please contact us at at either: http://www.headrushmusic.com

    or

    (212) 894-3747 x9819

    Thanks....
