Sariman - The Celestine Prophecy is definitely one of my favorite books. If you things referencing enlightenment, you'll love it. I think I read the whole thing in two days. Couldn't put it down. There's also a sequel, The Tenth Insight (?). Also a good read. Enjoy!

Just an FYI for the kids that don't wanna pay the 200 smackers will get burned. I had a terrible time w/AT&T about two years ago and just decided to quit using the phone and the service. They charged me the $200 but I didn't pay and they didn't take it off my credit card so it went on my credit report. I've had problems trying to get a cell phone ever since (w/out paying the $500 deposit - no way).
Anyway, just thought I would share my own story. Hope this helps...

Sorry, had to jump in too...
When I first got into the club scene, places like the Roxy & Exit were definite fav's. But I got tired of the crowd, atmosphere and lack of interesting music. That's me and my prerogative.
Now, in the beginning of this thread a statement was made. Notice the terminology...STATEMENT, not OPINION, about a flyer distributed by Exit. Now, I haven't been there in a very long time (over a year) and things could've changed but I don't remember hearing anything remotely resembling Deep House. Again, it's been a while and things could've changed.
The question is not whether or not you, me or your mom like exit it is about what they're advertising. If you have fun there then what they're advertising doesn't really matter. Just enjoy the music and what it does for you.
Stop arguing w/people. Your points (Foxy) are not well thought out and seem to run in endless circles, meaning you don't really make a point.

Currently reading 'The Last Unicorn' by Peter S. Beagle. Next book is something quite a bit darker...'Requiem for a Dream' by Darren Aronofsky, which is also a movie.

The funny thing is that when I saw commercials for this show I thought, 'You've got to be kidding, that's terrible.' Well, I was flipping around the other night and stumbled onto it. Yes, I watched it - for maybe 10 minutes.
It just seemed silly and unreal. Some of the couples seemed like they were going out of their way to piss their partner off - questioning yet again whether or not these people are really all that seriously involved.
After reading an article on Yahoo! about a couple on the show - who share a child (which FOX didn't find out until over half the shows were taped) together - I think it's even sadder. Now there's a child involved, does that change anything. NO. FOX is airing the shows w/that couple anyway, hoping it will be a 'ratings grabber'.

No bung, I don't agree w/the lynch mob mentality but then again you don't really know the situation, do you?
I had heard of things about apotheosis before and never wanted to believe them because we always got along. I still hold no grudge against him myself, however I don't feel that his attacks against other people (who happen to be my friends as well) on this board were necessary. Instead of defending his point of view ONLY, he chose a different route and made himself look worse in the process.
As far as the topic goes, I'm not even going there. This thread has gone far beyond its original purpose and most everything has been covered anyway. Not too mention my post is starting to get a bit long...he he.
