  1. You did understand you were going to the ElectroClash Festival @ Crobar last night didn't you?????
  2. [glow=red,2,300]OGMIAMI = REPUBLICAN CLUBBER : NUFF SAID [/glow]
  3. Ok arrived w/ Mr. Rauhofer around 10pm to a mob scene in front. Check in line was spilt in two. One for those with Tickets and one for those without but had RSVP's. After running into some notables like Mark Berkley (HX) and Bruce Tantum (Time Out) we hope on the ticketed line and start shivering in the of so summer like 20 degree weather. After about 10 minutes a security person comes over the megaphone announcing they have reached capacity and that the tickets for tonight will be comps tomorrow night. The throngs of people who looked like Ralph Lauren Jr. Execs started walking. But in these situations as a clubber you know the deal. Let them leave and get tot he guy with the head set. After the majority of people started walking away a few faces remained online. Bobby Shaw, Susan Morabito, Keoki, Hosh Gureli, Mark Katz, Satoshi Tomiie, and Baby Hec Romero. We get to the walkie talkie toting list liaison and boom we're in. Walking from the tent entrance you pass a small coat check area which I think is designated for the VIP/Hip Hop room (music changed later to house and hip hop again in that room). Walking more towards the front were the club 'Begins' we run into clubbing celebrity and OZ Actor Dean Winters, dressed impeccably in a Black Suit with thin black zip sweater underneath. Very Hot! We are not at the first lounge with GIGANTIC PVC PIPES jetting from the floor to the ceiling they almost look like enormous Bamboo shoots. They separate a walkway from the lounge and bar area to you can chill out and have a drink or just walk straight through to the main floor. From this lounge area we walked through the "WHITE NOISE" Tunnel onto the main floor. The room was jumping. Prancers, Dancers, Vixens and all other reindeer analogies you can fit into a club scenario. Acrobats hanging from the vaulted ceilings in beautiful costumes on layered fabrics. Podium dancers that were artistic, fashionable and thank god could keep the beat. Johnny Dynell in on the turntables and we hear a Star 69 Record drop. Peter is in a very good mood. We make our way to the DJ booth were we are greeted by many friendly faces. Alex Omes (Ultra Music Festival), Victor Calderone (Crobar resident), Judy Weinstein (DEF MIX), and David Waxman. Frankie Knuckles had just gotten on the decks and is making us just live for him! Other run-ins and sightings during the evening were Fisher Stevens, Dennis Leva, AJ Calloway, Jonathan Peters, Kris K. (Bullitt Bookings), Christian Malpeli (Yoshitoshi), Kevin Williams, Melvin Moore (Subliminal), DaVe Mccomb, Harvey Weinstein (Tunnel/Limelight), Allegra, Da Band, and so many others. The Drinks were strong, the company was good, the staff was cordial and the beats were fierce. This is definitely a early Christmas gift from Kenny & Cal to NYC. Congratulations Crobar we wish you many more nights of success.
  4. [glow=red,2,300]With a little more than 4000 personal invitations sent out CROBAR's Grand Opening went off with a bang in NYC last night! Theatrics, music, celebrities and the usual 2000 people just trying to sneak in for a peek. Crobar is a sight for sore eyes in this town. After years of closures, police investigations, deportations of club owners and other dramas, a positive light is starting to shine on the city that never sleeps. 9. [glow=red,2,300]Ok I was told I need to be more inviting to this newjack. So to quote Danny Tenaglia: I HIGHLY SUGGEST THAT EVERYONE GOING TO MIAMI THIS YEAR RESPECTS AND REALIZES WHY WE ARE ALL DOWN THERE AND ATTENDS THE ACTUAL "WINTER MUSIC CONFERENCE." - REGISTER! - GET A BADGE! - SUPPORT THE CAUSE! - GO TO THE SEMINARS! - GET INVOLVED! - REALIZE THAT IT'S NOT ALL ABOUT GOING THERE AND PARTYING EVERY SINGLE NIGHT! THAT IS NOT WHAT THE WINTER MUSIC "CONFERENCE" IS..... THE WMC IS ABOUT US GATHERING TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE AND TO (now more than ever) PUT OUR HEADS TOGETHER AND FIGURE OUT A WAY TO KEEP DANCE MUSIC, (all categories) ALIVE AND WELL AND TO HELP STOP MORE LABELS FROM CLOSING THEIR DOORS. This year's WMC will be at the Wyndham Hotel & NOT @ the Convention Center! Register in advance to avoid the walk up fees. I too will partake in the actual conference this year, and so should YOU! ;D[/glow]
  10. [glow=red,2,300]You're Alllllllllllllright! Now was that jaded? I think not. Â :-*[/glow]
  11. [glow=red,2,300]If I have room in the truck you are more than welcome doll. [/glow]
  12. [glow=red,2,300]So scary.....[/glow] As always, Dick Clark will host his New Year’s Rockin’ Eve special from New York’s Times Square. But this year, Clark will host three separate specials, and newlyweds Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson will co-host one of the shows from their home base in LA. The first part of the evening, Dick Clark’s Primetime New Year’s Rockin’ Eve, will air from 10 to 11 p.m. Clark will report on the party from Times Square and ABC will air highlights from some of 2003’s biggest tours, including Aerosmith and KISS, Bon Jovi and Avril Lavigne. Next up is Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve 2004, Part 1 from 11:35 p.m. to 1:05 a.m. Nick and Jessica join the show at this point and they will introduce performances by Black Eyed Peas, Bow Wow, [glow=red,2,300]Hall & Oates,[/glow] Jagged Edge, Jason Mraz, Donna Summer and 3 Doors Down. Finally, Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve 2004, Part 2 airs from 1:05 to 2:05 a.m. Nick and Jess will bring back Black Eyed Peas, Hall & Oates, Jagged Edge, Jason Mraz and 3 Doors Down for encore performances, and Simpson will offer her own performance as well. Clark will then wrap up the party in Times Square. [glow=red,2,300] I am sorry but Hall & Oates RULE![/glow]
  13. [glow=red,2,300] Sorry Charles after my sisters wedding I have to haul ass to Roxy. We have a super special guest for the boys! Check Page Six Monday  [/glow]
  14. Joe what are you doing? Enough already! You are so way out of line it's ridiculous. If there is any arrogance it's on your part and you need to chill the F**k out. I don't want to shout you out brotha but quit while your behind.....got me. PEACE! P.S. There are no links to the Victor Calderone interview on your site. But I do see Victor Dinaire.
  15. [glow=red,2,300]Advice: 1) Pick a genre (high energy trance, break beats, and prog house)  2) If he is a producer by all means hand out his work to various DJs. People get tracks signed at WMC all the time.  ;D 3) If he is just djing and trying to get gigs. Bad place to pimp brotha! Personally I use most DJ mix cds I am given at WMC as drink coasters.  :-X Good luck and prepare yourself. There are 4000 DJs with Mix CDs hoping to be the  next whatever. And if they don't have original tracks it's really pointless to give it to any reputable DJ. [/glow]
  16. [glow=red,2,300]Bo called me yesterday, you don't even want to know what they went through. Totally sux Charles call me I gotta tell you something about the show [/glow]
  17. [glow=red,2,300]I am slinking over with the Star 69/UltraMusicfest/A|X conglomerate that we clumped together. It's Frankie Knuckles and John Dynell from the old DJ from Jackie 60. Charles are you coming?[/glow]
  18. Tip: go to Travelocity or Cheap tickets Find the flights you like around the times you want to go and see if you are flexible. When you see what you like, check with Airline website of that carrier and you'll get the tickets for $5-10 less for the same flights.
  19. [glow=red,2,300]Would you prefer pathetic thief that can't spend $16.98 on a CD? >[/glow]
  20. [glow=red,2,300] :-* luv ya Charlie [/glow]
  21. [glow=red,2,300]Levelistic, Burn and I will hunt you down like the dog you are and feed you that CDR. The CD is out on Star 69 Records. My client, you steal from them and we come to your house. Thanks Love![/glow]
  22. OMG SHUT THE F**K UP AND DANCE!!!!!!!! 99.9 % of the CITY doesn't even know what the hell the place looks like. Kenny & Cal have been doing this for years. I will give them the benefit of the doubt! This is a test run. I bet there will be lots of changes within the next couple months getting out any kinks there may be. But to be so extremely harsh and negative to 530 is BS. I am going Thursday to the preview to have a drink, be with friends and wish good luck on a venue that has a lot of potential. I advise people do the same on Friday and Saturday. Don't knock it till you tried it!
  23. From what I have heard it's Victor Calderone. That is all!
  24. [glow=red,2,300]My affections can be swayed with a RT Ticket to MIAMI and a suite at the SAG. Are you writing all this down?[/glow]
