Wow. There is about as much controversy here as there has been in the country over the election! I remember over the summer when I first got to NYC the club scene was much better. Have I burned out or has the scene burned out? Perhaps there is no way for me to empirically know the difference between the two. -h0nus ------------------

I didn't vote for that reason. I didn't know what the candidates stood for and I didn't make time to figure it out. I think some people in America vote based on one issue or merely vote for "their" party regardless. Some women vote for the more pro-choice of the two candidates. Other strict Christians that I know voted for Bush. Instead of 3 parties perhaps we need to consider having 1 party. Just my 1/2 peso. Politics is starting to look more like Hollywood. Drama. Family Ties. Lies. Its time to dance. ------------------

It is definitely possible. I broke up with my girlfriend of 3 years just 2 months ago. Trying to stay only friends has been extremely difficult. But if you were ever truly in love with this person, then you will remain friends with them forever. A couple words of advice. Take them or leave them, they have worked well for me: Don't have sex, but hugs and kisses are healthy. Don't talk about sex or attractions to other people, this will only hurt your ex and ultimately yourself. Try not to be jealous. Most importantly, continue to work on yourself. Chances are you will want to have sex right away to soften the pain of being without someone, but this will not make you feel any better about your situation.
