  1. Z, WHY and HOW -Jamms "smartpantalones"
  2. native NYers (of course I'm being EXTREMELY general) are not all that into Techno mind you. Its not like parties like these pop up all the time all over the country. Most of the people who do go are of course from Europe but thats b/c they love Techno in their home country, and appreciate it here. Eurotrash is tossed quite too loosely these days. IMO, eurotrash are those who are pretentious and about *looking* euro, not being euro. Most peeps I saw there last night were dancing there azz's off for the Hank (sp?) guy (wearing the CCCP shirt), who I thought blew Steve Bug away as far a presenting Techno tracks. Bug was more progressive in my opinion and played a lot of tracks *I* was even able to trainspot (and I am the worst at that). I really think (honest opinion) that Bug was more like Digweed and the earlier guy was like true Techno. I came out to hear Techno last night not progressive, borderline, bring down the pitch, almost trance . I would really love some feedback on this. Grazie! -Jamms "somebodygottadoit"
  3. I live in Brooklyn and have owned a car for a couple of years and I would seriously consider not drving into the city if I had to pay a toll at the 3 lower east crossings (Manhattan, Williamsburg, Brooklyn). Its so easy and convienent to hop over one of those bridges to another part of the same city I can understand (maybe) if it was like going from NYC to Nyack, b/c that involves going through towns that pay varying taxes. But to live in the same city where you are charged to go over bridges to get to another part of the city, w/o any free alternatives, then that just plain sucks. As far as the MTA, tastyt is so right on the money, trains will be more crowded that it already is. Plus a fare hike, plus less service (its not like there will be more trains with the fare hike)...Overall, a recipe for pissed off and disgruntled commuters . -Jamms "gottalovenyc"
  4. OMG I can atest his descriptions are ALL TRUE...I actually know a bunch of guys that settle in Belmar every summer and that what they did all weekend. Same azz setup. I swear! I spent a few weekends in them parts and if I were a guidette, I probably would have written the same thing. I think I might be heading down to Tempts sometime this summer, haven't been there since '00! -Jamms "iknowavinnythegineaandapappajoe"
  5. Congrats to all! Especially the guy that say sleep is waste but missed Baktun last night!!! *giggle* Interesting though I can't even find nor even heard of this contest. I guess I need to quit my job and keep the noggin to the boards:rolleyes:... -Jamms "bettalucknexttime"
  6. Lot61 is very upscale professional type out to have a good time. Nice layout of lounge and the crowd was sort of geeky (afterwork crowd) in my opinion (the one night I went there), maybe A-list but who knows. Music wasn't the focuse there but I think things pick up late night there. Thats all I have for now -Jamms "hotspot"
  7. Sineminem should know more than I about Serafina Wed I went there once and I think the focus of the party is hip-hop. In the *main area* where the restaurant is, there is a DJ, who spins pretty decent (CD's I might add) ranging from commercial, hip-hop, a little trance and tribal. Overall pretty good *chilling* louging, not too crazy music. I had a good time when I went and have been trying to convince others to go. I do want to go again but maybe when the weather is nicer. Drinks are a bit expensive and the restaurant bar is PIZZACKED @ around 10ish. Once the back room opens up though, that is where the party really begin! People go nutz back there having a good time partying on a Wednesday night. The crowd is trendy, good looking (borderline modelish) but I did see a lot of Eurotrash and a little Lon-guylandish (no offense ) but overall one of those *pretty* places. I would recommend. Now though the spot to hit is Pangea (A-listers go there) which is down the block from Serafina. Haven't been to Pangea yet, but who knows who'll be swinging through (saw Derrick Jeter on his way over to Pangea) -Jamms "infooverload"
  8. I have no idea, he emailed me a while ago. I'm not going, I just wanna know how he does. thanks -Jamms
  9. You appear to others around you as a person who is simply "laid back" From time to time you shelve your ambitions and forgo the desire for prestige and recognition and you are often considered as mentally lazy... You have the ability and you are the first to know this but you prefer to take things easy and indulge your longing for comfort and security. You are a very warm and emotional individual but unfortunately in the past too many people have taken advantage of this sensitive trait. You need aesthetic surroundings, or an equally sensitive and understanding partner with whom to share a warm understanding. At times one is burdened with more than ones fair share of problems .. and this would appear to be your situation at present. But you are adamant-you know what you wish to achieve- ...and by giving a little...and taking a little..you may well find that the realization of your dreams could well become a reality You are being unduly influenced by the situation that is all around you. You do not like the feeling of loneliness and whatever it is that seems to separate you from others. You know that life can be wonderful and you are anxious to experience life in all its aspects, to live it to the full. You therefore resent any restriction or limitations that are being imposed on you and you insist on going it alone. You don't like authority and you rebel against all forms of limitation. You are your own person and you intend to stay that way .. and to get on in the world simply by your hard work and determination. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It's actually all true! -Jamms "justcallmelazyq"

  15. Is there anything going on there this Friday night? Inquiring minds wanna know -Jamms "partyhearty24-7"
  16. Ummmm, not to be the voice of reason or anything but, there are some people that have been putting parties together, and regardless of how hard the promotion, people tend to stick with what is more *well-known*. Its like a *guaranteed* good time. Mind you people do not want to fork out dough to not have a good time and complain all night. And we ALL do it at some point (guilty as charged )...As far as sheep, yeah I agree, but at the same time, if I were not a *sheep* in the beginning of the whole club scene. I doubt, I would know many of the DJs nor styles as well (nor would be inclined to) if it weren't for friends dragging me out. So there is some good to being part of the heard. Its more about breaking away, taking what you have learned, and go out there and find a sound that suits you best...That all I have energy to say now, maybe more later -Jamms "ahemahem"
  17. I heard him @ [ ] pen Air during the summertime...I thought he was really good, but what do I know. His track selection was very nice and he rocked that party out back then. You'll have a good time .... -Jamms "longtimenohear"
