  9. Best Remixed Recording, Non-Classical Remix master E-Smoove, whose portfolio includes work with Blondie, Pet Shop Boys and Janet Jackson, is nominated for his "E-Smoove House Filter Mix" of Sunshine Anderson's "Heard It All Before." Danny Tenaglia's remix of the revitalized Depeche Mode's "I Feel Loved" from their Exciter LP garnered him a nomination this year. Tenaglia's roots extend back to New York's legendary Paradise Garage, where much of the American DJ and remix culture was germinated. Deep Dish is nominated for their "Deep Dish Vocal Remix" of Dido's "Thank You" track. Deep Dish (Ali "Dubfire" Shirazinia and Sharam Tayebi) broke out of Washington, D.C.'s house scene and went on to do remixes across the genre barriers, from Michael Jackson to Beth Orton. Steve "Silk" Hurley, who greatly contributed to Chicago's status as the home of house music, is nominated for "Silk's Downunder Mix" of Jamaican legend Bob Marley's "Soul Shakedown." A true pro-audio buff, Silk reportedly created his first mixing set-up out of parts bought at Radio Shack. K-Klass's "K-Klass Klub Mix" of Samantha Mumba's "Baby, Come Over (This Is Our Night)" garners the Welsh-born duo their first GRAMMY nomination.
