If you don't stay at the Hard Rock or the Mandalay is it easy to go to the pool there or is security tight? Can you pay to use it or can you grease the staff with a few bucks?

How far is it from the end of the boardwalk?

I am staying at The Starlight Motel in Ortley for MDW. I chose this originally because it is supposed to be a little bit cleaner than the rest and it's right near the Surf Club. Now with the bad weather I am kinda wishing that I stayed in a hotel near the others in the "surfside area". I am kind of hoping that if the weather gets bas that the hotel will be a wild (fun) place. My question is: Is the Starlight Motel any fun? Is it going to be a fun area to stay assuming it pours outside and we have to stay around the hotel and drink? How close is it (walking) to the other hotels like Surfside?

So only 1 Italian Place? There has to be another decent Italian place in the area

My friends and I want to out for a nice dinner on Friday night in Seaside. Anybody know of any good ones? We were hoping for Italian but if there are other good non-Italian places that are great maybe we'll try them. Any info is appreciated.

Starlight Motel. It's right near the Surf Club and you it is newly renovated this year -- and it MUCH less expensive than the other hotels.. It's almost too good to be true.

Yeah but the good weather changes your mood so much... or maybe that's just me getting older (27). I think when you get older you appreciate stupid things like good weather more than even clubbing.

I just looked at weather.com and it shows rain for Friday and Saturday of Memorial Day weekend.... that sucks!! How accurate do you think it is though being a week away?
