trying to be objective as possible here (but in the end, it is still my humble opinion)...
PVD - talented producer, remixer, above average mixer, knows how to work a crowd (prolly the best), the best at what he does. some call him cheezy, i don't. love his uplifting and energetic style... music doesn't have to be deep, dark and depressing to be good. enough said!
although i loved his last 3 visits to twilo...i will admit, he needs to get some new records. i still love it when he drops his own tracks like another way and tell me why. if you were at the last PVD, you will know that 99.9% of the people loved it as well.
you know what i think is even more CHEEZY??? people who go out of their way to criticize other djs *wink*

dissing other clubs is kinda childish, i agree... but let's be fair here. i've seen a LOT of other people from other clubs diss twilo, typically by people who've never been there... (eg - bad vibe, poor dress code, crackheads, glowstick toting teenyboppers, etc.)... or by people who don't even realize what type of music is even played at twilo and claim... "i don't like trance... i like pumpin' music" not realizing that the dj's rotate and that at any given time, you can have the best trance dj, techno dj, house dj at any given night...
anyway, getting back to the point... yes, we all have different tastes in music and clubs so go where it makes you happy. give other clubs a try, maube even a second try if you didn't like it the first time. for me, it took 3 times going before twilo became my home. my first trip to exit was awesome, but every time i've gone after that it became worse...
in any event, aren't you dissing people who go to twilo (fridays) right now? you're not just dissing the club, your dissing the people who go there as well... that's worse IMO.

PVD is AWESOME... pretty close to GOD
while maybe not the best mixer in the world, his track selection, the way he works the crowd and his uplfting style will always keep me coming back for more... besides, he produces great music and the crowd goes crazy when he spins HIS OWN songs. it's like going to hear your favorite band in concert... you want to here the band's top hits... to all the PVD haters, get over it...it is unmistakable that he is one of the top producers and djs in the world or he wouldn't get the recognition or audience he gets. look at this past friday - PACKED (albeit there were a lot of wannabe's and i've heard about hims there).
i love diggers too... he's awesome! but for those who use diggers as a comparison v. PVD, its like comparing apples to oranges. different styles... whether you like one or the other is a matter of personal taste. what some people call "the journey" of S&D is "bubbles breaking (boring) under water until 5:30AM and then the real music comes on" for me. just MHO, or more correctly, my preference. like i said, i love them both (PVD and diggers) but they are just very different.

i finally got through and posted the following. soon thereafter, twiloboss erased his response to blueangel, then posted this schpeel and then closed the thread. i think we're scaring him with threats of outing twilo to magazines and newspapers:

yes i'm a newbie to this board but i've been going to twilo for quite some time now. in fact, most of the "newbies" that you claim are starting "shit" are all regulars at http://www.clubplanet.com and also are what you call twiloites. please check our screen names here v. the ones on that board and you will realize that many of us have posted hundreds, even thousands of times... especially regarding our love for twilo.
my screen name there is k_car, if you need to verify. we are all dissapointed in the manner you have handled this situation. many of us are considering not going to twilo anymore... especially due to the outright rudenss of your staff, especiall the bouncers. i know on nights like pvd you may not miss us at all... but on nights like s&d and others like pappa and deep dish, it's us regulars that fill up at least half of twilo. moreover, as an asian, i have seen and been subjectected to constant harassment by your bouncers, basically for chewing gum. if you notice, asians make up for a good 30-40% of your clientele. and once again, on nights like pvd, it may not matter to you if we don't come. but once again, what about all the other nights when pvd isn't spinning. the club will be quite empty.
i would also like you to know that many people on the clubplanet message board (ny) have initiated contact with various magazines and newspapers regarding this and previous incidents. i know your job is to promote the club and spare it from negative press. that is what you have tried to do my squashing (or at least trying to) blueangels post. and yes, she may have not approaced a resolution from you in the neatest of fashions, but she was just trying to make someone from twilo listen.
twiloboss - i and many people LOVE twilo! please do something that can bring an amicable close to this and many other prior incidents. first place to start is maybe an apology to blue angel (not the sarcastic one you actually gave her), maybe comps to her and her two friends who were wronged for a year and training for your bouncers on "how to treat their customers." i know exit is no comparison to twilo, but i must say that their staff and bouncers outclass twilo bouncers by light years. just MHO.
i have faith in you twiloboss to do the right thing.

I tried to get a new user name for the twilo message board, but they never sent me a password so I can post to support... Hmmmnn.
I totally blame the bouncers and staff. I know there were some asian drug dealers that got thrown out that night and many more non-dealers/users that were harassed. So many times at Twilo, I was rudely approached by bouncers for giving my friends gum. I would turn to them and show them and say "GUM." Just because a select few cause problems, a whole race shouldn't be put on constant harassment by bouncers... especially if they did nothing wrong... even worse, it appears that they just threw your friends out to get more people in. What a shame...
Bottom line is that the staff at Twilo are downright rude. Even bouncers at Exit are 100X nicer... but then again, it's not tough to do.

i was there to the dying end too
it was amazing at the near the end. the club was still packed at 8:30 am... went crazy cheering for an encore (by the way, the encore track was PHAT!)... i never saw such appreciation for a dj by a crowd at twilo... standing ovation.
it's funny... he played some awesome new tracks, but the ones that always get me pumped up like no other are his own tracks. every time i heard another way, tell me why, forbidden fruit, etc. i went especaially crazy
once again, a shout out to those i met (albeit briefly): Unbound, Orchid21, Mysterious, Bwags, Myrlin, LickMyLips, MattyParsons, J232J?, etc. Hope to see you at Cox/Teneglia

while i agree with you to a certain degree regarding the clique mentality of peeps who have met v. peeps who have not met, i'm not not sure if i can agree with you one the comment regarding "everyone ganging up on you (general v. you specific) for no reason."
my observation has been is that myrlin (which i only briefly met this past friday) is one of the most reasonable people on this board. while i don't necessarily agree with his boycott stance on allnight23, i can underdtand why he may feel that he should.
i have also seen that from time to time, you have physically threatened many paople in the past, just for not agreeing with you, including myself. this comment is not meant to cause drama. the point here is that when people make racist, threatening or any other comment of that nature, those people making those comments tend to be singled out and ostracized.
and you are right, i don't know you and you don't know me. maybe one day we will meet and have a couple of drinks and laughs regarding some of the drama on this message board

first of all, all i have to say is that PVD was off the hook (although not nearly as good as last nov.).
everyone please listen!!! here is my HUMPBLE OPINION on pvd nights and some rudeness involved...
basically, it's all the people who usually DO NOT go to Twilo that KILL the vibe. they just go there b/c they have heard of the greatness of PVD, yet they lack PLUR mentality and party/fun atmosphere at twilo. my experience at PVD nights have been great, yet i typically notice a higher share of rude people... these are the wanna be's. in fact, i saw my first ever fight at twilo this friday near the pyramid stairs in the back corner (by the cushy chairs right of the dj boooth). they were obviously not regulurs... they were juicers who typically frequent other types of clubs but they were in full effect for PVD. a fight at twilo??? i couldn't believe it!!!
anyway, the bottom line is that the negative vibe is not associated with any one type of race, culture etc. it's all the fuckin' "invaders" as i would call them (of course some of them are cool) and not "asians" or "polish' or any other specific race that kill the vibe.
btw - i had a great time with my crew anyway... my ALL asian crowd mingled nicely with people of all races... even when other guys tried to hit on our girls, we just made friends, not fights... either that, or our girls politely declined the guy... that's what it is about.... RESPECT... although i admit, our girls got a little annoyed (as did i) when the guys kept on pestering our girls

i read the whole thread. my humble assessment:
it started out as a simple answer by both gravity and nycedee. gravity started to provoke nycedee b/c dee's opinions differed. general insults were exchanged (e.g. - low life, loser, dumbass, etc.). drama, but still not too offensive, just 2 peeps duking it out. then gravity throws in a racial slur... that's when the shit hits the fan.
gravity - don't you get it??? dissing each other in generalities, no matter how rude, can be accepted (i guess in a pissing match) but you went over the line with the racial slur. you are wrong. everyone else agrees. noone is following anybody in terms of jumping on a bandwagon. you basically brought this upon yourself. with every post you look worse and worse...
